What did the VFF President say when Mr. Park Hang Seo became Vice President of KFA?

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Korea Football Association (KFA) Chung Mong Gyu and members of the KFA Executive Committee, including former head coach of the Vietnam national team Park Hang-seo, on the occasion of the KFA successfully organizing its 55th term.

In the letter, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan stated that the diversity and dynamism of the KFA apparatus in the 55th term demonstrates the KFA's strong desire for progress and innovation. He also believes that under the direction of KFA President Chung Mong Gyu and the close coordination of its members, Korean football will achieve its set goals and consolidate its position in the world arena.

Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan also congratulated Mr. Park Hang-seo on being appointed as Vice President of KFA. Coach Park Hang Seo will be Vice President in charge of national team levels. Coach Shin Tae Yong (former coach of Indonesia) will be in charge of foreign cooperation.

Coach Park Hang-seo was born in 1959 and worked as an assistant for the Korean national team under coach Guus Hiddink from 2000 to 2002, helping the Korean team finish 4th at the 2002 World Cup. Since the end of 2017, he has been involved with Vietnamese football and will be there until January 2023. He has achieved many successes with a silver medal at the 2018 U23 Asian Championship, winning the 2018 AFF Cup, reaching the quarterfinals of the 2019 Asian Cup, winning two gold medals at the 2019 and 2021 SEA Games, and leading the team to the final qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup - Asia for the first time.
