Voters in 3 communes and towns of Con Cuong district have made 7 recommendations on 13 groups of issues at the macro level and also issues under the authority of the province and district. Many proposals are practical and related to the lives and welfare of local people.

Including the proposal that the province issue a number of specific mechanisms to develop Con Cuong urban area in accordance with the orientation of Resolution 39 of the Politburo and the approved Provincial Planning; Pay attention to allocating resources to build embankments to prevent landslides on the Lam River bank flowing through the town to create land funds to expand the space for urban development in an ecological direction; Propose to upgrade National Highway 7 and build a road tunnel through the Vuc Bong Strait in the face of the risk of insecurity due to landslides; Plan, invest in the construction, upgrade of Ma Nhai Stele and restore Tra Lan Citadel; Issue policies to create conditions to improve the lives of the Dan Lai ethnic group, recognize the Dan Lai ethnic group as an ethnic minority;

Propose to reduce the age of receiving allowances for the elderly in rural mountainous areas from 80 years old to 75 years old; Recommend competent authorities to transfer the land area managed by Anh Son tea enterprise in Bong Khe commune to local management to facilitate people's production and cultivation; Remove difficulties, create conditions for forest economic development, exploit and promote potentials and advantages for developing eco-tourism, forest environmental services, and selling carbon credits.

Appreciating the efforts in the socio-economic development of the mountainous district of Con Cuong, effectively implementing the support program and building houses for poor households, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung directly answered and clarified some recommendations of voters related to the responsibilities and authorities of the province.

The provincial leader believes that the opinions and recommendations are necessary, of a macro scale, and have urgent contents. However, in order for those recommendations and specific mechanisms to be effective, there must be appropriate proposals, in harmony with the province and other localities, and what mechanisms and resources are needed to be appropriate and close to reality.

Going into each specific issue, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung suggested that Con Cuong district put the Lam River embankment project on the priority investment list. The province will try to arrange capital from the remaining part of hydropower tax and mineral exploitation according to Resolution 137 of the National Assembly for implementation in the coming time.

The upgrading and renovation of National Highway 7A is currently underway, while the issue of building a road tunnel through the Vuc Bong Strait is under the authority of the Ministry of Transport. However, the province will consider and balance resources to resolve the issue step by step.

Regarding the planning and construction of Ma Nhai Stele and the restoration of Tra Lan Citadel, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Department of Culture to consider and include it in the national target program on cultural revival.

Regarding land issues, the province will direct the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to pay attention to resolving them, but the district must persistently pursue them.
