This afternoon, December 15, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung worked with Deputy Ambassador of Singapore to Vietnam Ian Tan and members of the working delegation.

At the meeting, Singaporean Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Ian Tan thanked the leaders of Quang Tri province for their enthusiastic reception and arrangement of working time with the delegation.

According to Deputy Ambassador Ian Tan, Singapore is the second largest foreign investor in Vietnam. With its role, the Singapore Embassy in Vietnam will be a bridge to provide information about the potential, advantages and preferential investment policies of Quang Tri province to Singaporean companies and corporations so that businesses interested in investing in Quang Tri province in the coming time.

Singapore always wishes to cooperate and support Quang Tri province in training human resources. Enhance exchanges between Singaporean students and Quang Tri province through twinning programs between schools.

Over the past 20 years, Singapore has helped Vietnam train more than 21,000 officials and civil servants through cooperation programs, including training at the Vietnam - Singapore Training Center in Hanoi. In the coming time, Singapore hopes to support the training of officials and civil servants of Quang Tri province at the Vietnam - Singapore Training Center.

Expressing his joy when welcoming and working with Singaporean Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Ian Tan and members of the delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung gave an overview of the characteristics, potentials and strengths of Quang Tri province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung emphasized that Quang Tri province always considers Singaporean partners as one of the top important partners in strategic priorities for development cooperation and in investment projects in Quang Tri.

The groundbreaking of the Quang Tri Industrial Park Project is an opportunity to attract investors in the near future, including the participation of Singaporean partners. We hope that Singaporean partners will be interested in investing in the fields of green energy and organic agriculture in Quang Tri province...

Propose that Singapore pay attention to supporting human resource training for Quang Tri province. Support the province in improving capacity as well as preserving traditional culture of ethnic minorities in remote areas.

Hopefully, through Deputy Ambassador Ian Tan's visit and work in Quang Tri, there will be a forum calling for Singaporean partners to invest in Quang Tri.

Singaporean Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Ian Tan congratulated Quang Tri province on its achievements in recent times. Regarding investment cooperation, Deputy Ambassador Ian Tan hoped that Quang Tri province would share with the Singaporean Embassy specific and focused information on the areas in which Quang Tri province needs to attract investment in the coming time.
