Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan worked with large enterprises, discussed solutions to remove difficulties, aiming for the target of GRDP growth of the whole province of over 8.5% in 2025.

The report of the Department of Industry and Trade said: The industrial production index (IIP) in the first quarter of 2025 reached 9.46%. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached VND 29,653 billion, up 8% over the same period. Export turnover is estimated at 452.4 million USD, up 8.3% over the same period. In particular, the wood industry continues to play a key role, accounting for 67% of export turnover, with wood products alone increasing by 27%.

However, many businesses are still facing many challenges. Industry associations have reported slow VAT refunds, high input costs, credit interest rates that have not decreased significantly, and many export orders being delayed, especially in the US market. Some opinions have pointed out problems related to fire prevention standards that are not suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises, requirements from the EU's EUDR policy, environmental permits, as well as the shortage of technical workers.

At the conference, leaders of departments and branches answered some specific questions for businesses.

At the meeting, listening to the recommendations of the delegates, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan shared the difficulties with the business community, and affirmed that the province will accompany and proactively support to remove obstacles to maintain orders, expand markets, and stabilize production. To achieve this goal, there needs to be strong coordination between the government and businesses. The more difficult it is, the more businesses need support, including from banks.

Accordingly, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan directed: Department of Finance, Tax Department of Region XIII to handle tax refund problems. State Bank of Region X proposed special credit policies to support businesses; Department of Industry and Trade studied the extension of bank debt, social insurance debt and reviewed and adjusted fire prevention and fighting standards to suit the reality of small businesses.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also specifically answered each opinion, recommendation, and problem raised by businesses at the meeting and assigned agencies, units, and localities to consider and specifically resolve.

Provincial leaders always listen and are ready to meet and resolve difficulties for businesses.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the viewpoint: always consider enterprises as customers of the government, must pay attention to taking care of their customers to develop together. At the same time, he hopes that enterprises will make efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges in the current period. In particular, the Head of the Provincial Government hopes that enterprises and corporations located in the province will pay attention to learning and linking up to invest in expanding production and business in the context of more and more domestic and foreign enterprises and investors coming to promote and register for investment in the province. The provincial leaders always prioritize and create conditions for enterprises in the province to develop, become large-scale enterprises and corporations with prestigious brands. Enterprises should research to expand production and new industries in the province; focus on solutions to expand the market in the direction of digital transformation, cost savings, etc.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that the provincial government will continue to promote administrative procedure reform, create the most favorable environment for businesses to operate, cut unnecessary costs for businesses; continue to invest in completing infrastructure; quickly and promptly implement mechanisms and policies on land and labor; promote trade promotion, expand markets... At the same time, it will give opinions to the Central Government on capital sources and interest rates to support businesses.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to continue to closely monitor market developments, orders and production capacity of enterprises, and periodically report to the Provincial People's Committee for appropriate direction and policy adjustments.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: The growth target of over 8.5% is a key task. To achieve it, there needs to be strong coordination between the government and enterprises. "We hope that enterprises will accompany the province, the key enterprises of the province will review the potential, organize and expand production and business so that each enterprise can grow at no less than 8.5% and start next year focusing on research and development, double-digit growth", Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized./.
