Here, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Nguyen Van Ha (born in 1931), residential group number 3, Thang town (Mr. Ha was imprisoned in Con Dao prison, is currently weak, old, living with his daughter and her husband) and Mr. Do Van Can (born in 1947), residential group Tan Hop, Bac Ly town, who was imprisoned by the enemy in Con Dao and Phu Quoc prisons; is a seriously wounded soldier, with difficult family circumstances.

At the places he visited, Comrade Nguyen Viet Oanh shared that during these days, the Party and State are organizing many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. In Bac Giang, the province established delegations to visit and encourage those with outstanding contributions and soldiers who were imprisoned by the enemy.

He affirmed that in recent years, the province has regularly paid attention to and taken care of the work of "Repaying gratitude", mobilizing many resources to support housing renovation, contributing to gradually improving the lives of people with meritorious services and revolutionary families.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee kindly inquired about the health, family circumstances, material and spiritual life of the soldiers who were imprisoned by the enemy; expressed his gratitude and deep appreciation for the contributions and sacrifices of the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, Agent Orange victims, and relatives of martyrs who contributed to the victory of the national liberation struggles.

He hoped that those who have contributed to promoting the tradition and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers will be a solid foundation for their descendants to follow. They will continue to contribute their efforts and intelligence to build their homeland to develop more and more. He requested that local Party committees and authorities continue to pay attention to policy beneficiaries and meritorious families in the area; regularly support them to improve their lives and contribute to the general movement of the locality.
