Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of departments and branches, visited Hung Tan commune, one of the 10 communes meeting the model new rural standards of the province.
Hung Tan is a commune in the middle of Hung Nguyen district, with a natural area of 482 hectares and a population of 4,250 people. This is a land rich in cultural and revolutionary traditions, and is the first unit of Hung Nguyen district to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
As a purely agricultural commune, Hung Tan has known how to promote its existing advantages, actively transform the structure of crops and livestock, apply scientific and technical advances, and switch to commodity agriculture by building large model fields with the famous Hung Tan fragrant rice brand.
Agricultural products are processed into traditional craft products such as: Banh ca, com, sticky rice wine... which are trusted by the market. In particular, the OCOP product of Banh ca from Hung Tan contributes to creating regular jobs for hundreds of workers, bringing in stable income.
Thanks to the efforts of the Party Committee and the people, Hung Tan commune has become a bright spot in the construction of new rural areas. In 2014, Hung Tan was the first commune in Hung Nguyen district to meet the new rural standards, and in 2019 it was recognized as the most beautiful new rural commune in Nghe An province. In 2021, Hung Tan commune met the advanced new rural standards and in 2023 it met the model new rural standards.
Hung Tan Commune is a highlight in the cultural life of the province. The whole commune has 4/4 villages and 3 agencies and units recognized as cultural. Phan Village - Hung Tan Commune is the only village in Hung Nguyen District recognized as a typical cultural village at the provincial level. This is also a leading locality in focusing on preserving and promoting traditional values of the nation, especially Vi and Giam folk songs.
Hung Tan Commune is also known for its effective mass movement to protect national security. Many models of security and order have been successfully built, contributing to building a peaceful Hung Tan, free of crime and social evils. Hung Tan Commune was honored to have General To Lam - Minister of Public Security visit and direct the replication of the model nationwide.
After visiting and listening to the report of the commune leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung expressed his good impression when coming to Hung Tan commune, a model new rural commune that is clean, civilized and peaceful.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee was also very impressed with the cultural and historical traditions, rich in revolutionary traditions of Hung Tan commune. The commune also has many special products, efforts to build new rural areas, develop culture, especially preserving and promoting the value of Vi and Giam folk songs, the movement to protect national security has been widely and effectively deployed.
Congratulating the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Tan commune in the past time, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung hopes that in the coming time, the commune will promote the achieved results, continue to build Hung Tan commune to be more and more developed, rich, beautiful and civilized; the people will have strong and broad consensus in the process of implementing the policies and guidelines of the Party and State.
Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and leaders of departments and branches visited An Nam Matsuoka Garment Factory in VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park.
The An Nam Matsuoka Garment Factory project has a total investment of 1,251 billion VND, with 3 phases. Phase 1 started implementation in September 2019 and officially went into operation in March 2020, expected to be completed by February 2025.
The output products of An Nam Matsuoka Garment Factory are clothes and garment products with the capacity of: Producing and processing 6,400,000 garments/year; Washing and cleaning 960,000 garments/year; Other processed products 2,000,000 products/year.
To date, the factory has recruited 2,300 workers, with incomes ranging from 6.5 to 9.5 million VND/person/month. The factory's revenue in 2023 is expected to reach 385 billion VND. The main export markets are Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, EU, Canada, and the US.
After listening to the report from the factory leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung highly appreciated the investor's methodical investment, modern technology, and strict production process. The factory has built a very good working environment for workers. To date, this is the largest FDI project of a Japanese investor in Nghe An province.
After coming into operation, the factory has actively contributed to the industrial production value of the province, creating many jobs for workers, mainly Nghe An workers.
Sharing the recommendations of enterprises, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that departments, branches and localities always create the best conditions for investors and are continuing to strongly improve the investment and business environment. Currently, the province is calling for the construction of social infrastructure; continuing to improve the quality of labor resources and trying to meet the labor needs of enterprises.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung assigned departments, branches and Hung Nguyen district to continue supporting investors in VSIP Industrial Park in general and An Nam Matsuoka Garment Factory in particular, especially in terms of labor resources.
