"THERE ARE MORE RICH AND PROSPER VILLAGES IN YEN THANH"
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, talking with officials and people at the headquarters of Tang Thanh commune, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his joy at having the opportunity to visit Yen Thanh district again and meet people in Tang Thanh commune in the first days of the new year 2024.
Regarding Yen Thanh this time, the National Assembly Chairman said that he was very excited that Yen Thanh had completed the task of building new rural areas in 2019 and continued to be the leading locality in building new rural areas when many units strived to build advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, especially Tang Thanh is one of the first communes in Nghe An to be recognized as meeting the standards of model new rural areas.
The National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated the results of economic and social development of Yen Thanh district, especially agriculture which has developed in the direction of increasing scale, cooperation, productivity and high quality.
The district also has many creative models of getting rich, which are increasingly famous throughout the country and even the world, notably building a "street in the village" when there are billionaire villages like in Do Thanh commune with the motto of "two-pronged attack": Some go to university, some go to work abroad.
Preparing for Tet, Spring is coming, recalling the tradition of "loving others as you love yourself", "the whole leaf covers the torn leaf", "the little torn leaf covers the many torn leaves", National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said, from the Central to the local level, all are implementing the Directive of the Secretariat to create the best conditions for all people to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet, everyone can celebrate Spring and enjoy Tet.
The National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated the attention of Nghe An province to take care of people, especially poor households, to have conditions to celebrate Tet when the whole province is actively responding to the Appeal Letter of the Provincial Party Secretary to support and help poor households celebrate Tet; including the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Thanh district with the spirit of solidarity and love for each other.
With the efforts of the whole country, the Central Government, and the localities; the caring responsibility of Party committees at all levels, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, organizations, and the cooperation of philanthropists, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue believes that the whole country in general, as well as Yen Thanh district and Tang Thanh commune, will welcome the new year 2024, welcome the new spring and celebrate the traditional Tet of the nation warmly, joyfully, and economically, creating a new momentum to strive to best fulfill the economic and social targets of 2024 - a particularly important pivotal year to best fulfill the 5-year task (2021 - 2025) and prepare to enter a new stage, a new term, towards the goal of 2030, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, our country is a developing country, with modern industry, high average income. By 2045, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, will become a developed, high-income country.
Regarding Nghe An province, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that the Politburo and the Central Committee are paying special attention. After summarizing 10 years of implementing Resolution 26, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW dated July 18, 2023 on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045; to motivate the province to break through, rise up, and be worthy of the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho!
In particular, the Politburo assigned the National Assembly Party Delegation to coordinate with the Government to summarize and evaluate Resolution No. 36 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for Nghe An province and study to issue a new Resolution in 2024 with stronger and more breakthrough policies and institutions to develop Nghe An and Vinh city to truly be the center of the North Central region.
Highly appreciating many policies, efforts, endeavors, and achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of Yen Thanh district in recent years, especially in 2023, as well as the outstanding achievements of Tang Thanh commune, the National Assembly Chairman requested the locality to continue to strive to build new rural areas, because this is a program that has a starting point but no ending point.
Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized the motto: Once we have reached the new rural area, we must strive to achieve the advanced new rural area, once we have the advanced new rural area, we must strive to achieve the model new rural area. Communes or districts that have achieved the model new rural area must increasingly consolidate and enhance the quality of related criteria to achieve the goals and aspirations of our Party and State, which are to build “modern rural areas, ecological agriculture, civilized farmers”, turning villages into livable places, and creating more rich and prosperous villages in Yen Thanh.
Wishing Yen Thanh district forever peace and success, wishing Tang Thanh commune even more success, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue also wished the cadres, soldiers and people of Yen Thanh district a new year 2024 and a warm and joyful New Year, the traditional New Year of the nation, continuing to achieve many new achievements.
On the occasion of preparing to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year of the nation, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented 200 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, families of meritorious people, poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in Yen Thanh district; each gift includes 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 200,000 VND.
UNITY, UNITY, COMPLETE THE SET GOALS TO THE HIGHEST
Previously, reporting to the National Assembly Chairman and the working delegation on the implementation of political tasks in 2023 and preparations for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, comrade Le Thi Hoai Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Yen Thanh District Party Committee said: In 2023, the district's socio-economic development was quite comprehensive and had many bright spots; 25/27 targets were achieved and exceeded the plan.
Economic growth rate reached 10.15%; average income reached 65 million VND/person/year. The district's new rural construction movement is at the top of the province, currently there are 12/61 advanced new rural communes in the province; 2/10 model new rural communes in the province.
Culture and society have positive developments, especially the quality of key and mass education has been improved, ranking 3rd in the province in terms of excellent students at the provincial level.
Social security work is of special concern and promotion in the district. The number of poor households in the district is currently 877 households, 2,915 people, accounting for 1.09%; there are 3,702 martyrs, 253 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, 6 People's Armed Forces Heroes, nearly 5,000 wounded and sick soldiers. The number of families with meritorious services who are receiving monthly policies is over 6,000 people.
Over the past year, the district has mobilized and received nearly 18 billion VND to build houses for the poor and people in difficult circumstances; has started construction and repaired more than 160 houses for poor households and households with difficult housing conditions.
Party building work has seen many innovations. Activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have seen many improvements. National defense and security have been maintained, political security and social order and safety have been basically guaranteed.
Regarding administrative reform, Yen Thanh has the highest rate of digitizing records and handling administrative procedures in the province, with the number of records processed on online public services accounting for 1/4 of the province, especially the number of records processed before the deadline accounting for more than 97%.
In 2024, the district has set 27 main targets, and is determined to strive to bring the district to the advanced new rural finish line 1 year ahead of schedule; completing more than 300 houses for poor and disadvantaged households.
"Yen Thanh promises to the National Assembly Chairman and the Working Group to unite, focus on leadership, direction, and synchronously implement tasks and solutions to strive to achieve the highest level of the set goals and targets," said Yen Thanh District Party Secretary Le Thi Hoai Chung.
Preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, implementing the Letter calling for support and helping the poor celebrate Tet of the Provincial Party Secretary, the district has planned to call for 3.5 billion VND.
Yen Thanh is a semi-mountainous plain district, with a natural area of 550 km2 . The population is nearly 330,000, more than 80,000 households, distributed in 39 communes and towns (of which 26/39 communes have followers of the religion); this is the locality with the largest number of administrative units in the country. The district Party Committee has 76 grassroots organizations, with a total of more than 12,500 party members .
