National Assembly Chairman presents decision to recognize 2 national treasures of Ha Nam

At the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, presented the Decision to recognize two national treasures to Ha Nam province. These are the national treasure of Giau Pagoda Stone Stele (Dinh Xa Commune, Phu Ly City) and the national treasure of Tien Noi Bronze Drum 1.

The Giau Pagoda stone stele is located in the Giau Pagoda grounds in village 2, Dinh Xa commune, Phu Ly city, erected in 1366, with a relief portrait of an Emperor of the Tran Dynasty. This is the only ancient stele dating back to the Tran Dynasty discovered in Ha Nam, demonstrating unique decorative art and many documentary values ​​for research on history, fine arts, administrative places, religion, beliefs... of the Tran Dynasty.

The Tien Noi 1 bronze drum is a unique artifact in the collection of 16 Dong Son bronze drums of the Ha Nam Provincial Museum. The drum surface has decorative patterns that are a combination of geometric patterns and realistic patterns. The rim of the pattern number 7 is decorated with the theme of birds and fish. Up to now, this combination has only been found on the surface of the Tien Noi 1 drum, with an estimated date of between the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. The Tien Noi 1 bronze drum specimen is very valuable for studying bronze casting techniques and the proficiency in alloy mixing of the Lac Viet people; the decorations on the drum represent the quintessence of art, aesthetic thinking and are symbols of the ancient Vietnamese people more than 2,000 years ago.

At the same time, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has awarded the decision to rank 4 historical sites of Ha Nam as national historical sites. These are the Lat Son Base Historical Site, Thanh Son Commune, Kim Bang District; Bat Canh Son Scenic Area, Tuong Linh Commune, Kim Bang District; Tam Chuc Scenic Area Complex, Ba Sao Town, Kim Bang District; Nam Cao Tomb and Memorial Site Historical Site, Hoa Hau Commune, Ly Nhan District.

In a friendly atmosphere, artists from Japan performed Kyogen comedy - the first comedy genre born in Japan with a 650-year tradition, recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage; Vietnamese and Japanese artists performed traditional art performances of each country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Nam Province Truong Quoc Huy emphasized that Ha Nam is a land with a rich history and culture with a huge and valuable treasure of tangible and intangible cultural heritages bearing the identity of the Northern Delta region. The province has thousands of relics of all kinds, including 2 special national relics, 95 relics ranked at the national level; 3 national treasures; 12 typical intangible cultural heritages listed in the list of national intangible cultural heritages...

According to comrade Truong Quoc Huy, the Vietnam - Japan traditional art performance exchange program is organized with the desire to continue to introduce and honor the beauty of traditional culture, the close relationship and close friendship between the two countries, two peoples, between Ha Nam province and Japanese localities and organizations.

Within the framework of Ha Nam Culture-Tourism Week 2023, there will also be 12 unique cultural, sports and tourism activities such as: Investment promotion conference in the tourism sector, Hot air balloon festival held for the first time in Ha Nam...

Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio said that the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in the context of bilateral relations being at their best ever, with unprecedentedly strong ties in all fields. “One of the localities that has become a model for Japan-Vietnam friendly cooperation is Ha Nam province,” Ambassador Yamada Takio said.

According to Japanese Ambassador Yamada Takio, Ha Nam has clearly stated and seriously implemented 10 commitments to attract investment from Japanese enterprises. Thanks to that, many Japanese enterprises have been operating in a favorable investment environment.

Introducing the Kyogen comedy show titled “Mushroom” performed by Japanese artists, the Japanese Ambassador said that the people of Vietnam and Japan have similarities in humor. Empathy and mutual understanding through laughter have contributed to fostering the foundation for the strong development of Japan-Vietnam relations.

“Through today's traditional Kyogen comedy performance, I hope you can once again discover the depth of the cultural connection between Japan and Vietnam,” said Ambassador Yamada Takio.
