Director of the National History Museum of Armenia Davit Poghosyan warmly welcomed the Chairman of the National Assembly, his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on an official visit to the Republic of Armenia; expressed his honor to welcome the Chairman of the National Assembly, his wife and the delegation to visit the National History Museum of Armenia.
The Director of the National History Museum of Armenia respectfully introduced to the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, his wife and members of the delegation some highlights of the scale and organization of large-scale cultural events and exhibitions, thereby introducing to the Armenian public and international visitors rich and unique collections about the history of the country and people of Armenia.

The Speaker of the National Assembly, his wife and the delegation members also listened to an overview of the historical development of Armenia through many stages. The museum currently holds a massive collection of tens of thousands of artifacts, including archaeological finds, historical documents, folk art, handicrafts, traditional costumes, etc., reflecting the history and culture of Armenia.
Here, writing in the golden book of souvenirs, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man wrote: “Today, I and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly are very pleased to visit the National Museum of Armenian History - a place that preserves the precious historical and cultural values of the heroic Armenian people. Through each artifact, I deeply feel the rich tradition, indomitable spirit and unique identity of the Armenian nation through thousands of years of history”.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also stated that the delegation's official visit to Armenia this time is not only an opportunity to learn more about Armenia but also an occasion to further strengthen the friendship between Vietnam and Armenia - a relationship built on mutual respect, understanding and common values of peace and development.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his belief that with a solid historical foundation and aspiration to rise, the two peoples of Vietnam and Armenia will continue to write new chapters in cooperation and solidarity.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his sincere thanks to the leadership of the National History Museum and the Armenian people for the warm welcome; wished Armenia more prosperity and the Vietnam - Armenia friendship to grow further.
The National History Museum of Armenia located on Republic Square in Yerevan is one of the most important museums in the country, housing and displaying more than 400,000 artifacts reflecting Armenian history and culture from prehistoric to modern times.
Established in 1919 and opened to the public in 1921, the Museum was originally called the Ethnographic Museum - Library. After many name changes, from 2003 to present, the Museum was officially renamed the National History Museum of Armenia.
The Museum’s initial collection consists of 15,289 objects, collected from the Armenian Ethnographic Society, the Ani Museum of Antiquities and the Vagharshapat Archives of Ancient Manuscripts. In addition to being an exhibition center, the Museum is also an institution for research, education and preservation of the national cultural heritage. With such values and objects, the National History Museum of Armenia is not only a place to preserve the past, but also a bridge between history and the present, between traditional culture and the contemporary world.
