National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man receives Chairman of Komeito Party, Japan

On the morning of December 6, within the framework of his official visit to Japan, in Tokyo, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Mr. Saito Tetsuo, Chairman of the Komeito Party, Japan.

Congratulating Mr. Saito Tetsuo on being elected as Chairman of the Komeito Party, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated and believed that the ruling coalition between the Komeito Party and the Liberal Democratic Party will achieve even greater success, contributing to the continued prosperity of Japan and enhancing its prestige and position in the international arena.

The National Assembly Chairman thanked the Japanese people in general and the Komeito Party in particular for their valuable support for Vietnam in the cause of national construction and development; and suggested that the two sides regularly and flexibly maintain delegation exchanges, high-level contacts, and theoretical and experience exchanges between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the ruling coalition consisting of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito Party.

Chairperson Cong Minh Party Saito Tetsuo welcomed National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife, along with the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly, on their official visit to Japan; and congratulated National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on his election to a new position.

Mr. Saito Tetsuo said that in recent times, the Komeito Party has had a close relationship with the Communist Party of Vietnam; in his position, he will further deepen the friendship between the two countries.

Appreciating the role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in leading Vietnam to achieve the results it has today, Party Chairman Cong Minh congratulated General Secretary To Lam, who was recently elected as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, on inheriting and reaping many successes, contributing to the further development of Vietnam.

Chairman of the Komin Party said that on the occasion of the two countries Vietnam-Japan Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations last year, the two sides held high-level and other meetings. In particular, the two countries upgraded their relationship to “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World”. Mr. Saito Tetsuo hopes that in the future, the relationship between the two countries will be further promoted and strengthened.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man thanked Party Chairman Kominh for appreciating the leadership and direction of General Secretary To Lam in setting out the direction to develop the country in the new era, the era of national development; requested that the Kominh Party continue to support substantive cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in the fields of economy, trade, investment, and new-generation ODA; and hoped that Japanese enterprises would pay attention to and support Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the global supply chain.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed that Vietnam and Japan have many similarities; they wish to further strengthen cooperation through all channels of the Party, Government, National Assembly and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries to share experiences, discuss issues of mutual concern, and continue to strengthen the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Japan.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man asked the Komin Party to continue to pay attention and create conditions for more than 600,000 Vietnamese people in Japan to have the conditions to reside, study and do business long-term in Japan.

On this occasion, the National Assembly Chairman respectfully invites the Chairman and members of the Cong Minh Party to visit Vietnam at a suitable time.
