This morning, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, along with the Vietnamese delegation, arrived at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, beginning an official visit to Armenia at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Alen Simonyan.

Vice Chairman of the Armenian Parliament Hakob Arshakyan said that trade turnover between Armenia and Vietnam has been increasing over the years.
However, the potential and room for cooperation are still very large and need to be promoted and exploited strongly on a larger scale, especially in the fields of food, education, science and technology, high technology, etc.

Speaking at the seminar, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that Vietnam has achieved many achievements in development, is highly appreciated by the international community and has become a safe and attractive investment destination.
Vietnam has become one of the 40 largest economies in the world, among the top 20 trading countries, ranked 32nd in the top 100 strongest national brand values in the world; signed 17 FTAs with more than 60 countries.
GDP growth for the whole year of 2024 is estimated to reach over 7%, belonging to the group of countries with high growth rates in the region and the world, highly appreciated by many large and prestigious international organizations.
Attracting foreign investment is a bright spot. In 2024, FDI attraction will reach nearly 38.23 billion USD; realized FDI capital will reach nearly 25.35 billion USD, up 9.4%, marking the highest disbursement level ever.

The National Assembly Chairman said that both Vietnam and Armenia have open economies, with important export roles and the ability to adapt to international trade principles. Vietnam has joined the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union, including Armenia, which is expected to bring great opportunities to develop and deepen economic and trade relations.
Cooperation on the principle of "mutual benefit, mutual success"
The National Assembly Chairman suggested a number of directions in which businesses of the two countries can cooperate.
The National Assembly Chairman assessed that Armenia is known as a "silicon valley" of the region with a strongly developed information technology industry. Meanwhile, Vietnam is also promoting digital transformation in all fields.
The National Assembly Chairman encouraged businesses from both sides to cooperate in developing software, artificial intelligence and technological solutions for education, healthcare, and smart urban management.
Regarding agriculture and food processing, according to the National Assembly Chairman, Vietnam can provide tropical agricultural products such as coffee, cashew nuts, and seafood; while Armenia can share its experience in processing high-quality agricultural products, especially wine and dried fruits.

Regarding renewable energy, both Vietnam and Armenia are committed to sustainable development. Businesses from both sides can jointly research and invest in solar, wind and small hydropower projects, taking advantage of Armenia’s advanced technology and Vietnam’s abundant resources.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that ministries, branches and associations promote their role as bridges to promote exchanges and cooperation according to the principle of "mutual benefit and mutual success".
The governments of the two countries continue to make efforts to improve the investment and business environment, creating maximum convenience for businesses to cooperate and invest, and conduct business successfully, in accordance with legal regulations...
Visit the museum displaying more than 400,000 artifacts from prehistoric to modern times
On the same day, the Speaker of the National Assembly and his wife also visited the National History Museum of Armenia.
Founded in 1919, the museum located in Republic Square in Yerevan is one of the most important museums in Armenia, preserving and displaying more than 400,000 artifacts reflecting Armenian history and culture from prehistoric to modern times.

The President and his wife were introduced to the museum’s outstanding collections. Of these, “Archaeology” is the largest collection, containing hundreds of thousands of artifacts from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. In particular, there are artifacts from the Kingdom of Urartu – a brilliant civilization that existed in Armenia from the 9th century BC.
Writing in the golden guestbook, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed through each artifact his deep sense of the rich tradition, indomitable spirit and unique identity of Armenia through thousands of years of history.
"The visit is not only an opportunity for me to learn more about Armenia but also an occasion to further strengthen the friendship between Vietnam and Armenia - a relationship built on mutual respect, understanding and common values of peace and development," said the National Assembly Chairman.
