Lao National Assembly Chairman Xaysomphone Phomvihane hopes that Vietnamese businesses will spend time researching and finding solutions to develop agriculture in Laos.
Recently, Mr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane - Member of the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the working delegation visited and worked with Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (Long An province).
Introducing the company, Mr. Ngo Van Dong - General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company said that Binh Dien Fertilizer has been present in the Lao market since 2006. The company's products have been well received by Lao farmers and their quality has been affirmed.

“We not only want to bring high-quality fertilizer products, but also want to share the knowledge and farming experience that we have accumulated throughout our operations in Vietnam,” said Mr. Dong.
On this occasion, the General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company also hopes that Laos will continue to have policies to support and help businesses operate smoothly in Laos.
This contributes to increasing effective cooperation between businesses, government and farmers. Aiming to develop Lao agriculture to achieve many results, improving the quality of life of the people.
In response, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Xaysomphone Phomvihane acknowledged the contributions of Binh Dien fertilizer in Laos. Binh Dien fertilizer products are trusted by many Lao farmers.
Mr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane added that in the past, the fertilizer market in Laos was mostly natural fertilizers, which were of low quality. Chemical fertilizers were imported from other countries, typically Thailand. The assessment of soil quality in the locality was also not really good.

Therefore, he hopes that in the coming time, Binh Dien Fertilizer needs to have more assessments, goals, and solutions to promote agricultural development in Laos, especially in the fertilizer sector. He hopes that the company will build a fertilizer factory in Laos.
"The two countries have had deep and friendly political cooperation, so economic cooperation must also be commensurate," the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic emphasized.
It is known that on August 30, in the capital Vientiane, Laos, Phaiboun Traiding IM&EX Co. Ltd and Binh Dien Quang Tri Joint Stock Company continued to sign a memorandum of understanding on research and transfer of scientific and technical advances to Lao farmers.
The goal is not only to provide high quality NPK fertilizer products, but also to transfer advanced agricultural production processes that have been successfully applied in Vietnam.

In 2023-2024, Binh Dien Quang Tri Joint Stock Company cooperated with Phaiboun Traiding IM&EX Co. Ltd to organize 25 demonstration sites in Savanakhet, Champasak and Salavan provinces on key crops such as rice, coffee, corn... with a total area of nearly 15 hectares.
The results showed that rice and coffee yields in the models were 50-70% higher than the traditional farming methods of Lao farmers, and this result was highly appreciated by farmers and specialized departments of Laos. Through the implementation of demonstration models, soil nutrient maps as well as highly effective farming processes for key crops were initially built.
