National Assembly Chairman: Cultural heritage is an important driving force for Bac Ninh's development

On the evening of April 13, at the Do Temple National Special Relic Site (Tu Son City, Bac Ninh Province), National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the Ceremony to celebrate the 1015th anniversary of King Ly Thai To's coronation as Emperor; received the Certificate of ranking Dinh Bang Communal House as a Special National Relic, the National Relic of Comrade Le Quang Dao Memorial House, and the Decision to recognize the National Treasure, the Golden Seal "Hoang De Chi Bao."

The event aims to honor, commemorate and pay tribute to King Ly Thai To - the founder of the Ly Dynasty, who had great merit in moving the capital from Hoa Lu to Thang Long in 1010.

This is also an important cultural, historical and tourism event of Bac Ninh province, a unique local festival brand, aiming to promote the image of the land and people of Bac Ninh in general, Tu Son in particular, promote cultural exchange activities, promote the value of cultural heritage in socio-economic development.

Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that ancient Kinh Bac and present-day Bac Ninh province are sacred lands with outstanding people, and have a rich history, culture and revolutionary traditions.

Over thousands of years of history, this place has gathered and passed down a particularly rich treasure of precious and unique cultural heritages, containing both typical cultural values ​​of the Red River Delta and unique, bearing its own mark, especially Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs - Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Over the years, Bac Ninh province has always been at the forefront of innovation, economic development, and ensuring social security; it is a locality that attracts a series of large economic groups in the world for investment and production.

The economy has become a bright spot, with the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reaching VND232.8 trillion in 2024. GRDP growth rate reached 6.03%...

In the process of preserving cultural heritage, Bac Ninh is considered a locality that pays much attention to protecting and promoting heritage values, investing funds in research, restoration and renovation.

Since then, cultural heritage in Bac Ninh province has been preserved, promoted and spread domestically and internationally.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the National Assembly Chairman acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the efforts, attempts, results and achievements of Bac Ninh province and congratulated the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Ninh province on today's important event.

On the occasion of the ceremony, the National Assembly Chairman requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and people of Bac Ninh province to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam and the policies and resolutions of the Party and State on socio-economic development; and preserve and develop cultural heritage.

The province synchronously implements solutions for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development; strives to achieve and exceed the growth target of over 8% and the high scenario of over 10%; researches and establishes a new growth model based on the foundation of high science and technology, promotes digital transformation, and develops high-quality human resources.

The National Assembly Chairman requested Bac Ninh to continue effectively implementing policies on reorganizing the political system, reorganizing administrative units and organizing two-level local governments in the spirit of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

Recalling the beloved Uncle Ho's advice that "culture lights the way for the nation," the National Assembly Chairman said that the Party and State have issued many policies and guidelines to promote cultural development; most recently, the National Assembly has approved the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period. Therefore, Bac Ninh province needs to focus on investing, preserving, and developing cultural values ​​with a focus and key points to effectively carry out this task.

Emphasizing that diverse and rich cultural heritages are one of the important driving forces and resources for Bac Ninh to develop rapidly and sustainably, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that the province should strengthen education and dissemination of these valuable heritages with traditional cultural identity so that all people understand the historical value of the nation and join hands to preserve and protect them.

In addition, the province is researching solutions to "bring cultural heritage closer to the people," so that people can access, participate widely and fully and worthily enjoy the values ​​of cultural heritage, making cultural values ​​always alive and eternal.

At the same time, research and issue mechanisms and policies to promote the development of cultural industry and cultural tourism, carry out digital transformation in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values, contributing to bringing the image of Bac Ninh to a large number of people at home and abroad.

The National Assembly Chairman believes that Bac Ninh province will continue to preserve the extremely precious cultural values ​​that our ancestors have summarized and passed down; promote the spirit of folk culture and sweet Quan Ho; unite, be creative, join hands, be determined to build a rich and beautiful homeland of Bac Ninh, repay the sacrifices of previous generations for the people and the country, for a bright future of the nation.

Dinh Bang Communal House is the most typical architectural work in Kinh Bac region, not only having historical-cultural-architectural value, but also a symbol of community spirit, the pride of Tu Son people in particular, Bac Ninh in general.

Comrade Le Quang Dao - an outstanding son of Dinh Bang hometown, an exemplary leader, the first Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - who left many marks in the process of building and defending the country. Comrade Le Quang Dao's memorial house is a place to educate ideals, patriotic and revolutionary traditions.

The golden seal “Hoang De Chi Bao” is a special antique, a symbol of power and a testament to an important historical period of Vietnam./.
