Quang Nam Chairman gives "hot" instructions right after the 370 billion sand mine auction

On October 19, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung said that he had received information about the auction of construction sand mining rights at the DB2B mine (Dien Ban town) from 1.2 billion VND to 370 billion VND.

At the same time, direct the authorities to investigate whether this auction is in accordance with regulations and strictly handle violations if any.

The Chairman of Quang Nam also requested the relevant authorities to advise on appropriate price control measures in the market, to avoid material shortages and high prices, causing difficulties for businesses and people.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Nam province said that he had grasped the case and reported to the provincial leaders to assign the relevant departments to inspect and handle it according to legal regulations.

In the immediate future, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has requested the province to direct Dien Ban town not to recognize the auction results in order to review the entire auction process and related regulations.

Along with that, review the auction results in the province recently to see if there is anything unusual, recommend the province to direct agencies to handle if there is any monopolization of the raw material market.

Previously, Dien Ban Town People's Committee coordinated with Hoa Thuan Joint Stock Auction Company to organize an auction of construction sand mining rights at DB2B mine.

The type of mineral auctioned is construction sand, with an area of over 6 hectares, the mine reserve according to the approved plan is 159 thousand m3, the starting price R is 5%, the price step 16%R is 0.8%, the deposit is over 242 million VND.

After 200 rounds of bidding, starting from the morning of October 18 and ending at around 4am on October 19, the sand mine was priced at 370 billion VND, an increase of 1,534.6% compared to the starting price.

The winning bidder is MT Quang Da Joint Stock Company, located in Khe Trung ward (Cam Le district, Da Nang city).
