President Vo Van Thuong receives Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China

Speaking at the reception, President Vo Van Thuong welcomed Mr. Ly Thuong, who led the delegation of the Communist Party of China to visit Vietnam and co-chaired the 18th Theoretical Workshop between the two Parties; respectfully conveyed the best regards and wishes of health on the occasion of the New Year 2024 from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and other senior leaders of the Party and State of China.

President Vo Van Thuong received Politburo member, Secretary of the Secretariat, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Li Shulei.

President Vo Van Thuong highly appreciated the significance of the delegation's visit, which is the first high-level exchange between the two Parties and two countries in 2024, aiming to concretize the important common perception between the two General Secretaries of the two Parties, especially the recent state visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and his wife, which has important historical significance.

During the visit, the two sides agreed to further deepen the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership; and at the same time, raise it to a new height by jointly building a Community of Shared Future of strategic significance, making efforts for the happiness of the people of the two countries, for the cause of peace and progress of mankind.

President Vo Van Thuong received Politburo member, Secretary of the Secretariat, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Li Shulei and the delegation of the Communist Party of China who are visiting and working in Vietnam.

The President congratulated the achievements that the Party, State and people of China have made in recent times; expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping as the core and the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Chinese people will successfully achieve the goal of “the second centenary”, becoming a modern socialist power that is prosperous, strong, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful, making even greater contributions to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Head of the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Li Shulei respectfully conveyed the greetings and best wishes of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong; emphasizing that during the recent state visit to Vietnam, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping held talks with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong, and the two sides' senior leaders reached important common perceptions and cooperation orientations between the two Parties and two countries.

Mr. Ly Thu Loi expressed his emotion and sincere thanks to the leaders of the Party, State and people of Vietnam for their thoughtful, respectful and brotherly reception of the visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, and expressed his approval and appreciation of the opinions of President Vo Van Thuong on promoting cooperative relations between the two Parties and two countries as well as suggestions on improving the effectiveness of coordination between the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China.

The two committees will further promote coordination and exchange of experiences in ideological and cultural work in the spirit of common awareness of the senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries, and actively promote the tradition of friendship and good achievements in the cooperative relationship between the two countries, contributing to continuing to promote the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China.

President Vo Van Thuong said that the two sides need to make the most of the fine traditions, especially between the two Parties, the two countries and the two peoples; thoroughly grasp the common perception between the two General Secretaries of the two Parties, and increase exchanges, contacts and meetings between high-ranking leaders and all levels between the two Parties and the two countries. Vietnam welcomes leaders of the Chinese Party, State, agencies and localities to visit Vietnam.

The President emphasized that the two General Secretaries of the two countries have repeatedly affirmed that the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China was formed and tested over time, built and nurtured by generations of leaders of the two Parties and two countries, becoming a valuable asset that needs to be widely disseminated among cadres, party members, people and especially the young generation of the two countries.

The President highly appreciated the results of the talks and seminars between the two heads of the two Parties' Propaganda and Education Commissions, and suggested that the two agencies coordinate and widely propagate good values, thereby contributing to creating motivation and spiritual strength to continuously develop the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries in the coming time.

Along with that, strengthen coordination in propaganda and fully disseminate to cadres, party members and people of the two countries the Joint Statement and six major and important directions during the recent visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, creating a basis for effectively implementing cooperation agreements between the two sides.
