President Vo Van Thuong received the Nigerian Ambassador to bid farewell, ending his term of office in Vietnam.

On the afternoon of October 13, at the Presidential Palace, President Vo Van Thuong received Nigerian Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani who came to say goodbye and end his term of office in Vietnam.

President Vo Van Thuong assessed that Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani had a successful term in Vietnam; making an important contribution to promoting the relationship between Vietnam and Nigeria.

Expressing his gratitude to President Vo Van Thuong for his positive assessment of the Ambassador's tenure in Vietnam, Nigerian Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani expressed his gratitude for the support and coordination of relevant Vietnamese agencies in the Embassy's activities over the past time.

Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani thanked the President for sharing important cooperation orientations between the two countries. Accordingly, Nigeria and Vietnam are two countries with many similarities in economy and trade, and have favorable conditions to promote cooperation in the agricultural sector. The two countries also maintain cooperation in multilateral issues at the United Nations. Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani believes that Nigeria will continue to accompany Vietnam to further promote effective cooperation between the two countries.

President Vo Van Thuong highly appreciated the cooperation results between Nigeria and Vietnam in recent times, especially cooperation activities in the field of socio-economic development.

Delighted and appreciative of Nigeria's development achievements, especially in the socio-economic field, the President congratulated Nigeria on its successful election and believed that with this result, the Nigerian people will increasingly achieve better and more comprehensive development achievements.

The President affirmed that Vietnam consistently implements an independent and self-reliant foreign policy for peace, friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralizing and diversifying foreign relations; being a friend, a reliable partner and an active and responsible member of the international community.

Vietnam wishes to further develop relations with Nigeria in all fields. The two sides need to increase contacts and exchange delegations at all levels; further promote cooperation between ministries, sectors and localities and maintain exchanges and cooperation on regional and world issues.

Believing that the time working in Vietnam will leave a good impression on the Ambassador, the President hopes that no matter what position he holds, the Ambassador will always remember the country and people of Vietnam and promote the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
