President Vo Van Thuong received the Kazakh Ambassador to bid farewell, ending his term in Vietnam.

President Vo Van Thuong highly appreciated the Ambassador's active and effective contributions in deepening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan in recent times.

On the morning of August 30, at the Presidential Palace, President Vo Van Thuong received Kazakhstani Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov, who came to say goodbye at the end of his term in Vietnam.

President Vo Van Thuong thanked Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov for his good coordination with Vietnamese authorities in successfully organizing President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to Vietnam. Vietnam highly appreciated the success of the President's visit; opening a new chapter in the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.

Thanking President Vo Van Thuong for taking the time to meet him, Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov emphasized that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to Vietnam was a great success. During the visit, Kazakhstan's media reported extensively about Vietnam. The Ambassador affirmed that Kazakhstan highly values its relations with Vietnam.

At the reception, Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov shared his deep affection for the country and people of Vietnam; and said that during his term, he received active support and coordination from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies of Vietnam.

Referring to the cooperation between the two countries, especially in economics and trade, Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov was pleased that bilateral economic cooperation has been continuously improved, this year better than last year. The Ambassador suggested that the two sides further promote cooperation in areas that are each side's strengths. Kazakhstan has strengths in information technology and digital transformation, meeting well the needs of State management and the needs of people who want to cooperate with Vietnam in this field.

Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov expressed his wish that President Vo Van Thuong would soon visit Kazakhstan.

Touched by Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov's affection and attachment to the country and people of Vietnam, President Vo Van Thuong highly appreciated the Ambassador's positive and effective contributions in deepening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan in recent times.

The President emphasized that Vietnam and Kazakhstan have many similarities in history and culture; have gone through many hardships and difficulties in the past and present in the struggle for national independence; and are good friends.

The President was pleased with the positive evaluations of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan after his visit to Vietnam. From there, there were important orientations to promote bilateral cooperation. The President believed that with the sincerity and sense of responsibility of the two countries' authorities, the Vietnam-Kazakhstan cooperation in all fields will achieve greater results in the coming time.

Congratulating Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov on his successful term in Vietnam, the President highly appreciated the Ambassador's efforts to promote cooperation and cultural and artistic exchanges, helping the people of the two countries to enhance mutual understanding.

The President believes that with his deep understanding of Vietnamese culture, country and people, in any position, Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov will love Vietnam more, always be a close friend, constantly contribute to and foster the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.

The President also believes that the successor Ambassador will promote the achievements of Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov during his term. Through the Ambassador, President Vo Van Thuong respectfully sends his regards to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
