Currently, Kyushu University has built a model of "Hydrogen Society" - one of the first models of "Hydrogen Society" in Japan, with many modern devices, machines, and infrastructure in the field of Hydrogen.

Japan was the first country in the world to adopt a Hydrogen strategy in 2017; accordingly, it aims for Hydrogen to account for 10% of its energy mix by 2050. The Japanese government has been investing heavily in this field to avoid dependence on oil and gas, and rare earths when making normal electric vehicle batteries today.
