President Vo Van Thuong successfully concluded his working trip to attend BRF in Beijing, China.

President Vo Van Thuong and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attended the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation from October 17-20 at the invitation of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

During the working trip, in addition to attending the Forum, the President had meetings with senior Chinese leaders and received a number of leaders of leading Chinese corporations in the fields of technology and telecommunications; and had bilateral meetings with leaders of a number of countries and international organizations attending the Forum.

On the first day of his working trip to Beijing, China, on the afternoon of October 17, President Vo Van Thuong had a meeting with Mr. Trieu Lac Te, member of the Politburo Standing Committee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China; met with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

On the evening of October 17, President Vo Van Thuong attended a reception to welcome the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation chaired by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and his wife.

The President attended the opening ceremony of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF 3) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China on the morning of October 18. The President delivered an important speech at the high-level meeting on digital economy in the afternoon of the same day.

On October 18, President Vo Van Thuong received Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Jin Liqun to discuss measures to strengthen cooperation in the coming time.

On the morning of October 19, the President met with officials and staff of Vietnamese representative agencies in China and visited a typical model of new rural construction in Xiaolu village, Heizhuanghu commune, Chaoyang district, Beijing.

On the same afternoon, the President met with Thai Ky, member of the Politburo Standing Committee, Secretary of the Secretariat, and Director of the Central Office of the Communist Party of China; and with Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of Laos. The President also met with Li Zixue, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ZTE Corporation; and Liang Hua, Chairman of Huawei Corporation.

On the morning of October 20, President Vo Van Thuong met with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.
