The 17th National Press Awards Ceremony - 2022 is one of the activities to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).
After 17 years of organization, up to now, the Award continues to receive the active, enthusiastic participation of 18 Associations and 35 affiliated Associations. The number of works by authors who are not members of the Vietnam Journalists Association is 169 works. This shows the strong attraction of the Award and the interest and active response of members and all levels of the Journalists Association nationwide.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year, the number of works submitted to the National Press Awards was 1,894, of which 1,774 works qualified for the Preliminary round. The Preliminary judging process was carried out seriously, strictly, in accordance with the Guidelines and Regulations of the Awards Council. The 11 Subcommittees of the Preliminary Judging Council worked impartially, completed the Preliminary judging on time, and achieved good quality.
The Final Round judging process was carried out in accordance with the Award Charter and the working regulations and voting procedures of the Award Council. In particular, out of 157 works in the Final Round, the Council discussed, evaluated and voted to select: 8 A prizes, 24 B prizes, 46 C prizes, 45 Encouragement prizes to award the 17th National Press Award - 2022.
