President Vo Van Thuong offers incense in memory of King An Duong Vuong

During the early period of nation building, the land of Co Loa marked a heroic historical page associated with the historical figure Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong, the successor of the Hung King era, who had the merit of founding the Au Lac nation.

With a strategic vision, strong will and determination to build and defend the country, King An Duong Vuong decided to move the central location of the country from the northern mountainous region to the plains, which were larger and more favorable, to establish the capital and build the country to fight against foreign invaders. That is the land of Co Loa today.

With extraordinary efforts, An Duong Vuong and the people of Au Lac, in just a short time, completed the construction of a massive citadel with a very unique 3-ring architecture, popularly known as "snail citadel" - Co Loa Citadel today. Thanks to the solidarity of the army and people, and the legendary bronze arrow-shooting weapon - "Divine Crossbow" and the citadel with unique architecture, An Duong Vuong and the people of Au Lac defeated the invading army of Trieu Da many times and left for later generations great and profound values about the nation's work of building and defending the country.

On the ancient capital of Co Loa, President Vo Van Thuong and the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate and express gratitude for the great contributions of King An Duong Vuong - the one who founded the Au Lac State.

On this occasion, the President planted a souvenir tree at the Ngoc Well area located within the Co Loa Special National Relic Site.

*Next, the President visited and presented gifts at the community activity site of Residential Groups 2, 3, 4, Dong Anh town, Dong Anh district. According to the traditional custom at the beginning of the year, the President wished a happy new year and gave lucky money to the elderly in the residential groups. Talking to the people, the President expressed his joy that Dong Anh district has developed in many aspects in recent times, with spacious and clean urban areas, a countryside that has grown strongly but still retains its rural spirit. The President hopes that in the coming time, the district's socio-economy will continue to develop, along with that, the village spirit will always be preserved and passed down to descendants so that in times of need, one family can be the support of another.

Conveying the regards of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Vo Van Thuong said that the General Secretary wished the elders and all the people of Dong Anh district good health, luck and happiness. The General Secretary wished that each person, with all their heart, would always contribute to the further development of Dong Anh district, together with the strong development of the capital Hanoi in the coming time.

Earlier this morning, the President visited and presented gifts at Phuc Loc Kindergarten in Uy No Commune, Dong Anh District. With a total usable area of over 8,000m2, a unique design in a modern style, along with many classrooms, functional rooms, physical play spaces, spaces for experiencing nature, etc., this is the first public school oriented towards the model of a High-Quality Kindergarten in Dong Anh District./.
