On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the 54th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's death and the 54th anniversary of the implementation of his sacred testament, on the morning of August 27, at the President Ho Chi Minh Temple (Ba Vi, Hanoi), President Vo Van Thuong presided over the incense offering ceremony in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at the Uncle Ho Temple on King Peak, Ba Vi Mountain, the spiritual ancestral mountain of the Vietnamese people.

Also attending were former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc; former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung; Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Nguyen Hoa Binh, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court.
Also participating in the delegation were Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; ministries, branches, localities and representatives of the Nguyen Sinh and Hoang Xuan clans in Kim Lien, Nam Dan, Nghe An.
President Vo Van Thuong and the delegation, on behalf of comrades and compatriots nationwide, respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh according to the customs and traditions of the nation.
Writing in the guestbook at the Uncle Ho Temple, the President expressed his eternal memory of the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh. We will never stop studying and following his ideology, morality and style; Unite and strive to "Build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, making a worthy contribution to the world revolutionary cause" according to Uncle Ho's Testament.
The 54th anniversary of Uncle Ho's passing, according to the nation's customs and traditions, and the 54th anniversary of implementing his Testament is also an occasion for the entire Party, people and army to remember and express gratitude for his immense contributions to the Vietnamese people.
This is also an opportunity for all comrades and compatriots to continue to promote studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh. Thereby, fostering the nation's belief and aspiration to rise up to build a strong Vietnam, standing shoulder to shoulder with friendly countries around the world in the future, as Uncle Ho wished during his lifetime.
