On the same afternoon, at the National Monument - General Secretary Le Hong Phong Memorial Site, in Hong Phong hamlet, Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district, President Vo Van Thuong respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate General Secretary Le Hong Phong (1902 - 1942), former member of the Communist International Executive Committee, former General Secretary of the Indochinese Communist Party, one of the outstanding leaders of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution, a close student of President Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding son of his homeland Nghe An.
