On the afternoon of April 18, President Luong Cuong signed Decision No. 534/QD-CTN on posthumously awarding the First Class Military Exploit Order to Major and martyr Nguyen Dang Khai, an officer of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Police, for his exceptionally outstanding achievements in combat and combat service, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Earlier on the same day, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, signed a decision to posthumously promote the rank of Lieutenant to Major (promotion beyond the rank level), starting from April 17, 2025, for comrade Nguyen Dang Khai (born in 1996), hometown: Phu Cu, Hung Yen.
On behalf of the Management Board of the People's Public Security Comradeship Fund, the Minister and Chairman of the Management Board of the Fund also signed a decision to support 100 million VND for the comrade's family.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh also signed Decision No. 794 on recognizing martyrs and granting the "Fatherland's Gratitude" Certificate to Major Nguyen Dang Khai.
These are quick and timely decisions on regimes and policies by the leaders of the Party, State, and Ministry of Public Security to acknowledge the sense of responsibility, steadfastness in the uncompromising fight against drug crimes, and brave sacrifice to protect the peaceful life of the people of Major Nguyen Dang Khai, and to some extent share the great loss of his family.
On the same afternoon, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and the Ministry of Public Security delegation visited and shared the loss with the family of comrade Nguyen Dang Khai.
General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, sent a wreath.
On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long kindly visited, encouraged, and shared the pain and loss with the relatives and family of comrade Nguyen Dang Khai, hoping that comrade Khai's family and relatives will soon overcome the pain and loss and stabilize their lives.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long also presented the Decision of the Minister of Public Security to promote comrade Nguyen Dang Khai from Lieutenant to Major.
