Today, the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 7; the Party Committee and Command of Infantry Division 5; the Party Committee and Military Command of Binh Thuan, Binh Duong, Dong Nai provinces and the family also announced the sad news.

Twelve soldiers of Battalion 17, Division 5, Military Region 7 heroically sacrificed their lives at 8:27 p.m. on December 2 while participating in a defensive combat exercise of the Military Region at the National Shooting Range of Region 3 (Xuan Tam Commune, Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai Province).

Funeral program: Awarding the Certificate of National Merit and the Brave Youth Badge to representatives of the martyrs' families at 6:45 a.m. on December 8.

The funeral will begin at 7:15 a.m. on December 8 at the Southern National Funeral Home (No. 5, Pham Ngu Lao Street, Ward 3, Go Vap District, HCMC). The memorial service and funeral will take place at 11 a.m. the same day.

Burial ceremony at martyrs' cemeteries in the provinces: Binh Thuan, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and local cemeteries.

The funeral organizing committee consists of 19 members, headed by Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7.
