President presents appointment decisions for Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers

(Dan Tri) - On the afternoon of February 18, President Luong Cuong presented the decision to appoint Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers for the 2021-2026 term, after the National Assembly approved the appointment.

On the afternoon of February 18, President Luong Cuong chaired the ceremony to announce and present the President's decision to appoint Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers for the 2021-2026 term.

At the ceremony, Mr. Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, announced the President's decision to appoint Mr. Mai Van Chinh and Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung to the position of Deputy Prime Minister.

At the same time, the President's decision to appoint Dao Ngoc Dung as Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Tran Hong Minh as Minister of Construction; Nguyen Manh Hung as Minister of Science and Technology; and Do Duc Duy as Minister of Agriculture and Environment was announced.

At the ceremony, President Luong Cuong affirmed that this is the recognition and appreciation of the Party, State and people for the contributions and dedication of the officials throughout their work.

At the same time, it is a heavier task, requiring higher responsibilities of officials to unite with the Government and the Prime Minister to successfully carry out the very heavy task in 2025 and in the coming time, according to the President.

The President affirmed that the 6 officials appointed this time all have strong political will, good moral qualities, are always dedicated, highly responsible with outstanding contributions and marks in performing assigned duties and tasks.

According to the President, these are cadres who have received basic, systematic, and appropriate training and development in their positions, have matured through all levels, have years of work experience and extensive operational experience, and have gone through practical leadership and management from the grassroots level in many different positions from the central to local levels.

Regardless of their positions, the officials have fulfilled their assigned tasks well, making important contributions to the growth of the industry, locality and the overall activities of the Government, the President affirmed.

The President assessed Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh as an excellent cadre of the Party and State. The Deputy Prime Minister was trained and matured from the locality with many important contributions to the development and growth of the Party building organization sector.

Regarding Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, the President assessed the new Deputy Prime Minister as a leader with extensive experience in the economic field. During his nearly two terms as Minister of Planning and Investment, Mr. Dung has made many contributions to advising the Party and State in the fields of macroeconomics and investment attraction.

The President assessed that Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Dao Ngoc Dung is a cadre who has held many different leadership positions at the local and central levels. The Minister has grown from the grassroots in different positions and in the position of Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung has made many positive contributions to the common cause of the Party, State and people, especially in the field of social policy and social security, the President stated.

Regarding Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, the President assessed Mr. Hung as a well-trained official, with innovative thinking, vision, boldness, daring to think, daring to do.

As for Minister Tran Hong Minh, according to the President, Mr. Minh has nearly 40 years of working experience, having grown up in the military environment, through many leadership and command positions at all levels. Mr. Minh has successfully completed his duties as Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee and as Minister of Transport since November 2024.

Regarding Minister Do Duc Duy, the President assessed that Mr. Duy received basic training and grew up in the construction industry; was trained and tested locally...

The President emphasized that the Party, State and people are placing their trust and great expectations on the Government in performing its functions, tasks and powers to bring the country to rapid and sustainable development.

He asked the newly appointed officials to continue training, improve their political qualities, be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; maintain revolutionary qualities and ethics, be exemplary in complying with and strictly implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.

The President also requested that newly appointed officials continue to study and improve their capacity and qualifications in all aspects; promote the spirit of self-criticism and criticism, solidarity, modesty, sincerity, and close attachment to the people.

As senior officials of the Party and State, the President noted that officials must be truly honest, impartial, and selfless, seriously performing their duties according to Party regulations and powers under the Constitution and laws of the State; and effectively contributing to the sectors and fields assigned to them.

At the same time, officials must work with the Government to actively remove difficulties and obstacles, resolve important and strategic issues, and requirements and demands from practice and the cause of innovation, contributing to building an effective and professional administration that serves the people, according to the President.

The President believes that the officials appointed this time will continue to promote the glorious tradition of the Government and the good achievements from their work to excellently fulfill their newly assigned tasks, worthy of the trust of the Party, State and people.
