The President hopes that the two sides will continue to deepen bilateral relations, while contributing to peace, cooperation and development in the two regions and the world.

On October 29, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong received Permanent Vice President and Minister of Petroleum of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez Gomez, who came to pay a visit and work in Vietnam from October 28-30 at the invitation of the Vice President of our country.
At the reception, President Luong Cuong welcomed the visit of Permanent Vice President Delcy Rodriguez Gomez, believing that the visit will contribute to strengthening and deepening the Vietnam-Venezuela Comprehensive Partnership.
The President affirmed that Vietnam always remembers the good solidarity and valuable support of the Venezuelan people in the past struggle for national liberation and reunification, as well as in the current process of national construction and development; emphasizing that Vietnam always attaches importance to developing relations with traditional friends in the Latin American region, including Venezuela.
The President hoped that the two sides would continue to deepen bilateral relations, especially in economics, trade and investment, for the benefit of the two peoples, while contributing to peace, cooperation and development in the two regions and the world.
Permanent Vice President Delcy Rodriguez Gomez expressed her pleasure to return to visit Vietnam and reported to President Luong Cuong on the results of her talks with Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan in the morning of the same day.
The Permanent Vice President conveyed President Nicolas Maduro's regards and congratulations to President Luong Cuong on the occasion of being elected by the Vietnamese National Assembly to hold the position of President and thanked Vietnam for supporting and accompanying Venezuela in its development during recent difficult economic and social times.
The Venezuelan Vice President said that the Government of President Maduro and the Venezuelan people always admire Vietnam's history of fighting for independence, protecting sovereignty, building and developing the country; consider Vietnam's achievements and innovation experiences as models and lessons for Venezuela; affirm that Venezuela prioritizes developing relations with Vietnam in its overall foreign policy as well as in the Asian region.
President Luong Cuong suggested that the two sides continue to increase delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels, especially at high levels, to create momentum to promote cooperation in areas of both countries' needs, expanding to areas where both countries have strengths and potential; actively exchange, consult and support each other, especially at international forums and multilateral organizations to protect the legitimate interests of each side. In particular, the two sides need to continue to strengthen the education of the younger generation to preserve and continue the good friendship between the people of the two countries.
The President and Permanent Vice President of Venezuela agreed to continue directing agencies, departments and sectors of the two countries to develop specific and practical cooperation plans and programs in each field, especially agriculture, energy and telecommunications.
The two sides also agreed to continue discussing and seeking measures to remove obstacles and difficulties in bilateral cooperation through mechanisms such as the Political Consultation between the two Foreign Ministries and the Vietnam-Venezuela Intergovernmental Committee, aiming to build a long-term sustainable development cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Venezuela in the coming time.
On this occasion, President Luong Cuong also conveyed his regards and invitation to President Nicolas Maduro to pay an official visit to Vietnam./.
