At the meeting,President Luong Cuong highly appreciated Minister Cho Tae-yul leading the Korean delegation to officially visit Vietnam and attend the P4G Conference held in Vietnam; thanked Korea, as a founding member, for actively supporting Vietnam in successfully organizing the first multilateral summit on green growth.

President Luong Cuong expressed his satisfaction with the achievements the two countries have made after more than 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations, especially after the two countries upgraded their relations to the "Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" in December 2022.

The President suggested that the two sides continue to promote the exchange of delegations at all levels, coordinate to effectively implement existing agreements and cooperation mechanisms, as well as enhance cooperation at multilateral forums; promote cooperation between localities and people of the two countries, thereby creating a favorable environment to promote cooperation in many other fields.

President Luong Cuong assessed that the two countries still have much room for cooperation. The two sides need to coordinate to promote effective and substantive implementation of cooperation areas, especially in politics , defense, security and economic cooperation, in which the goal of increasing bilateral trade turnover to 150 billion USD by 2030 in a balanced and sustainable manner will be soon achieved.

President Luong Cuong suggested that Korea share its experience in developing the entertainment industry; increase the quota for accepting workers and expand the industries accepting Vietnamese workers in the coming time; strengthen cooperation and promote people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, thereby contributing to creating a bond between the more than 200,000 overseas Vietnamese living, studying and working in each country; continue to pay attention to protecting the legitimate rights of citizens in the host country, helping them stabilize their lives in Korea for a long time.

Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul congratulated Vietnam on its socio-economic achievements in recent times; expressed his belief that the country and people of Vietnam will successfully achieve the set goals.

Minister Cho Tae-yul emphasized that Korea always considers Vietnam a key partner in implementing foreign policy in the region; wishes to work with Vietnam to further promote the comprehensive strategic partnership in the coming time in all fields of politics, economics, culture, education, science and technology, etc., thereby contributing to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world. He hopes that Vietnam will continue to create favorable conditions for Korean businesses and citizens living, studying and working in Vietnam.

Discussing international and regional issues of mutual concern, the two sides agreed to continue to maintain close cooperation, support and assistance to each other at multilateral forums, especially in the context of the current complicated regional and global situation.
