Reporting to the President and the working delegation, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan said: Since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, along with the whole country, Thanh Hoa province has encountered many difficulties and challenges; however, with the attention, leadership, direction and support of the Central Government, the Party Committee, the government, and the people of all ethnic groups in the province, they have promoted the revolutionary tradition, proactively, creatively, and synchronously, comprehensively and effectively implemented the goals, tasks and solutions set out in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

At the meeting, Thanh Hoa province proposed that the President consult with the Prime Minister and relevant agencies to consider supporting the central budget for Thanh Hoa and Hoa Binh provinces to invest in the project of a road connecting Ho Chi Minh road (in Ngoc Lac district) with National Highway 6 (in Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province) with a length of 109km, total cost of about 16,500 billion VND; assign additional staff for the education sector to Thanh Hoa province in 2025 and 2026; consider adjusting and raising the regular expenditure norms of the state budget for the defense and security sector in the next period of budget stabilization, in order to ensure resources for localities to effectively perform defense and security tasks in the area...

Discussing and contributing ideas at the conference, members of the Central Working Group were impressed and highly appreciated the socio-economic development results of Thanh Hoa province, especially the average annual growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) which is always high. At the same time, there were valuable contributions, suitable to the local situation, for Thanh Hoa to develop quickly and sustainably.

Speaking at the meeting, President Luong Cuong suggested that Thanh Hoa province should continue to thoroughly grasp the goals and strive to make Thanh Hoa a "rich, civilized and modern province by 2030; one of the major centers of the North Central region and the whole country in energy industry and processing and manufacturing; high value-added agriculture; logistics services, tourism, education and training, specialized healthcare and culture and sports; a new growth pole together with Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh forming a development quadrangle in the North of the country", by 2045 it will be "a comprehensively developed and exemplary province of the whole country".

Focus on leadership and direction in preparing and organizing Party Congresses at all levels and the 19th Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 35, dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo and the Plan of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. President Luong Cuong stated: 2025 is the year of "Acceleration - Breakthrough - Finish", striving to achieve the highest goals and targets of the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025) and the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.
