On the afternoon of July 15, President To Lam sent his condolences to the victims and families of the serious landslide in Ta Mo village, Yen Dinh commune, Bac Me district, Ha Giang province.

The President said, through reports from agencies, landslide serious in Ta Mo village, Yen Dinh commune, Bac Me district, province Ha Giang killed 11 people and injured 4 others. The President sent his condolences to the victims and their families.
The President was moved to learn that right after the landslide occurred, many people who witnessed the incident did not hesitate to risk their lives to save the victims, and three people bravely sacrificed themselves. The story of the people who selflessly helped others in Ta Mo village as well as many good deeds and good people that happen every day, every hour in society spread love, compassion and good things.
The President acknowledged and commended the rescue forces for promptly deploying equipment, organizing search and rescue work, and overcoming the consequences of landslides; at the same time, requested the Ha Giang provincial government to quickly overcome the consequences, urgently review areas at risk of landslides, proactively prepare response plans for rain, floods, and possible natural disasters; promptly encourage, propose policies, and honor and reward brave examples.
* Also today, the President decided to award the Medal of Courage to four individuals from Hanoi city who had bravely saved people in the fire occurred at house number 01, alley 43/98/31, Trung Kinh street, Trung Hoa ward, Cau Giay district, Hanoi city on May 24, 2024.
