The Japan-Vietnam Expert Association delegation includes many professors, doctors, scientists , and experts in many fields working at universities, research institutes, and other organizations in Japan.
The President expressed his delight at meeting Professor Ochi and members of the Association and emphasized that the achievements of cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in recent times have been greatly contributed by the people of the two countries, including the Japan-Vietnam Experts Association, especially in the fields of science, technology,education and training. With the two countries upgrading to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, this is an opportunity for the Association to continue promoting cooperative activities with Vietnam.
Professor Ochi Mitsuo, Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Experts Association and President of Hiroshima University, reported to President Vo Van Thuong on the activities of the Association and cooperation between Hiroshima University and Vietnam. In recent times, the Japan-Vietnam Experts Association in general and Hiroshima University in particular have had many cooperative activities with Vietnam.
Hiroshima University accepts many international and Vietnamese students; cooperates with Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry to train PhDs in the field of agriculture; and is expanding training in the fields of digital transformation, animal husbandry, and research on new plant varieties.
Professor Mitsuo Ochi said that this December, the University will visit Vietnam to promote specific cooperation activities with Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry. Currently, the University is coordinating with the Vietnamese Ministry of Home Affairs in pilot training of local and public policy officials, and plans to expand training next year.

Hiroshima University and members of the Japan-Vietnam Professionals Association wish to promote cooperation with Vietnam in the fields of training, semiconductors, carbon neutrality, smart cities, and are ready to receive and train Vietnamese students; hope to receive support from President Vo Van Thuong and Vietnamese authorities.
President Vo Van Thuong thanked Professor Ochi and members of the Japan-Vietnam Experts Association for their many cooperative activities and support for Vietnam in recent times, bringing practical results in the fields of education, training, science and technology.
Welcoming the cooperation programs between Hiroshima University and Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry in the field of agriculture and forestry, the President said that in Vietnam, especially the Mekong Delta, the region is heavily affected by climate change and rising sea levels. Therefore, the President suggested that the Association expand cooperation with universities and localities in Vietnam in this field, a field in which many Vietnamese universities are researching and wishing to cooperate internationally.
The President said that the fields in which Professor Mitsuo Ochi wishes to cooperate are all areas in which Vietnam has high demand, and at the same time suggested that the Association promote specific cooperation activities in the coming time, especially in the fields of human resource training and semiconductor manufacturing research. Currently, Hiroshima University has cooperated with 11 American universities in this field. The President suggested that the University and the Association expand cooperation with Vietnamese universities. The President is willing to act as a direct bridge to connect cooperation in this field as soon as possible.
