President Biden said the Supreme Court's ruling allowing the president to enjoy broad immunity even if he commits a crime is an example of dangerous and extreme policymaking that puts all Americans at risk.
In addition, Mr. Biden also highlighted a series of ethical concerns that threaten the integrity of the court.
On the same day, the US President gave a speech on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act, in which he outlined proposals for reforming the federal Supreme Court.
Mr. Biden said that the Supreme Court Justice has allowed the President to appoint someone who can maintain influence long after his term ends.
The proposed presidential appointment process would be on a 2-year cycle for each judge and the judge's term would be 18 years.
