“Since the highway was completed, this is the third time my family has been to Sam Son. The image of the 9km long coastline at the foot of Truong Le Mountain bustling with tourists is no longer the only "bright spot" of Sam Son tourism. In addition, music festivals, street carnivals, artistic fireworks or world-class water music shows at the sea square will certainly be unforgettable memories for tourists when coming to Sam Son this summer.
According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the 5-day holiday, Thanh Hoa welcomed over 1.5 million visitors, bringing in a record revenue of over 3,800 billion VND. Of which, Sam Son city alone welcomed 905 thousand visitors. Sam Son in particular, Thanh Hoa in general, continued to consolidate its position as the national champion in terms of the number of holiday visitors.

In fact, not all tourists are as lucky as Mr. Hieu’s family to have a convenient place to stay overnight near the sea square. According to a survey, during the 5-day holiday, many hotels in Sam Son recorded a room occupancy rate of nearly 100%, so they had to sadly turn away guests.
“Although the hotel has prepared room funds when connecting with other shophouses at Sun Grand Boulevard, around the sea square area. However, the demand is too high and many guests spontaneously make plans late, so we cannot meet all of them. What a pity!”, said Mr. Trinh Van Trung, manager of Olive Sam Son Hotel.

Previously, most of the tours to Sam Son were 2 days 1 night. The common schedule was: swimming in the sea during the day, visiting famous tourist attractions such as Doc Cuoc Temple, Hon Trong Mai, Truong Le Mountain..., but the evening activities were mainly eating, walking around and then returning to the hotel. Tourists going to bed early and leaving early has always been a story of tourism in Sam Son in particular and Thanh Hoa in general.
That is also the reason why the spending of visitors to Thanh Hoa is only at a modest number. Meanwhile, studies have shown that tourists spend up to 70% on night tourism services, and only 30% during the day. From the night experiences at the sea square and the central area, Sam Son hopes to stimulate tourists to spend more and stay longer.

It is known that throughout the summer, from April 27 to September 5, Sam Son Beach Square will perform a water music show every night from Monday to Saturday to serve tourists and residents. The show uses modern German technology with 300 nozzles, creating performances on many themes with eye-catching lighting effects and lively sound.
Furthermore, the entertainment experience in the coastal city will continue to be extended when the Sun World Sam Son complex - the largest outdoor entertainment park in the North with the largest investment scale and area invested and built by Sun Group - comes into operation at the end of May.
