Final list of 23 players to attend the 2025 AFC U17 Finals

On April 3, head coach Cristiano Roland made the final decision on the list of 23 players of the Vietnam U17 team to participate in the 2025 AFC U17 Finals.

Accordingly, the three players who missed the U17 Asian tournament this year are Tran Hoang Khanh (PVF), Ha Huy Phuc (Hanoi) and Mai Viet Dung (Hong Linh Ha Tinh).

This can be considered a difficult decision for coach Cristiano Roland, because according to his assessment, all the players in the Vietnam U17 team preparing for the 2025 AFC U17 finals deserve to be given the opportunity.

However, the regulations of the Charter only allow each team to register a maximum of 23 players in the official list, forcing him to make the most optimal choice.

On the morning of April 3, Coach Cristiano Roland also met and encouraged the above players, and encouraged them to continue to work hard at the club, maintain their spirit and be ready for the next training sessions, especially to seize the opportunity to develop into the U19 and U20 teams in the future. Also this morning, representatives of the Vietnam U17 team's coaching board attended a technical meeting before the group stage matches of the 2025 AFC U17 Championship finals, and inspected the facilities of Okaz Stadium, where 2 of the team's 3 matches in Group B will take place, including the opening match against U17 Australia on April 4 and the match against U17 Japan on April 7. In order to ensure the quality of the grass field for the matches, all teams did not have any sessions to get acquainted with this field.

According to plan, at 6pm the same day (10pm Vietnam time), coach Cristiano Roland and his team will enter the final training session to complete preparations for the opening match against U17 Australia - a match of great significance to the competitive opportunities of the Vietnam U17 team in Group B.
