Despite facing a huge disadvantage of having to play with one less player from the first half, the Central Asian representative still played resiliently and effectively to win a worthy victory.

The first half witnessed unexpected developments when Uzbekistan U17 continuously lost players. In the 41st minute, Sarsenbaev received a red card after a situation that was considered a foul on a Saudi Arabia player. In the 45+2 minute, Abdukamirov became the second Uzbekistan player to be sent off when he fouled Dahal in a situation that could have led to a goal.

In the second half, with a shortage of players, U17 Uzbekistan was unexpectedly awarded a penalty in the 49th minute and successfully took advantage to open the score. This goal made U17 Saudi Arabia rush forward to put more pressure on the team. However, the Uzbekistan defense played very bravely and organized tightly.

In the 70th minute, the end of the home team's hopes came when Khasanov had a spectacular solo run on the left wing, passing the entire opponent's defense before scoring through the goalkeeper's legs, raising the score to 2-0.

Despite playing with one less player for most of the time, U17 Uzbekistan showed remarkable courage, winning the 2025 AFC U17 Championship with great merit, while U17 Saudi Arabia had to settle for second place despite having home field advantage and numbers.
