Late on April 3, U17 Thailand lost to U17 Uzbekistan with a score of 1-4 in the opening match of the U17 Asian Cup 2025.

At this year's U17 Asia, the Southeast Asian representative fell into an extremely difficult group with the continent's top "giants". The names Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia and China are all rated higher than Thailand.

In the following minutes, the Central Asian representative continued to put pressure and scored a goal to double the gap. Sarsenbaev was the one to score, raising the score to 2-0 for coach Islom Ismoilov's team.

Conceding two quick goals, the "war elephants" were forced to change their playing style and scored a goal to reduce the score to 1-2 in the 40th minute. "Wonderboy" Mexes had a classy move and defeated the U17 Uzbekistan goalkeeper.

Entering the second half, Thailand U17 encountered more difficulties when in the 54th minute, central defender Phurinat was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. Playing with one less player, the Southeast Asian representative encountered even more difficulties.

The "War Elephants" conceded two more goals and ended the match with a 1-4 defeat.
