The area in front of Big C supermarket at Vung Tau intersection (Bien Hoa, Dong Nai) is quite shabby, so the locality wants to clean up and renovate it, creating a highlight for the gateway location.
The People's Committee of Bien Hoa City (Dong Nai) has just sent a document to Road Management Area IV (Vietnam Road Administration), Dong Nai Department of Transport and Bien Hoa Public Service Management Board regarding the repair of sidewalks, planting trees and grass in the safety corridor of National Highway 1 through the area.
The purpose is to beautify the urban area, create a unique mark, and remove the sloppiness at the gateway to the city and the southern provinces.
Current status of the safety corridor of National Highway 1 in front of Big C Vung Tau intersection.
According to the reporter's records, the area in front of Big C supermarket at Vung Tau intersection is only about 200m long but has many food stalls, drink shops, motorbike parking lots, and litter.
According to Bien Hoa City People's Committee, this land is located at Km1871+150, Km1871+400, Km1871+350 on the left side of National Highway 1A, adjacent to Vung Tau intersection, in front of Big C supermarket, in Long Binh Tan ward. This is an area with high traffic volume, especially during rush hour.
The above land is planned as traffic land and urban green land. In particular, the section from Km1871+350, Km1871+400 is vacant, not cleaned, so weeds grow a lot, creating garbage collection points, encroachment causing traffic safety problems.
Many makeshift shops in the area.
The section from about Km1871+150, Km1871+350 used by TMT Dong Nai Bus Station Company Limited has built a bus station, parking lot, waiting room, operator's house, toilets... to serve regular bus routes such as 6, 8, 10.
However, there are also many other shabby business activities arising here, causing loss of aesthetics.
According to the locality, this land has been clearly planned, however, current land use is still not in accordance with the planning.

Therefore, to ensure urban beauty and traffic safety, Bien Hoa City People's Committee has directed the City Public Service Management Board to coordinate with Road Management Area IV and related units to develop a plan to repair sidewalks, clean up, beautify the urban area, and plant trees and grass.
Currently, only the section from Km1871+350, Km1871+400 on the left side of National Highway 1 will be implemented.
Some locations become garbage dumps.
Bien Hoa City People's Committee continues to recommend relevant units to find a suitable location to relocate the bus station to another place, returning the current status of the road safety corridor. Recommend that Road Management Area IV approve Bien Hoa City to continue renovating, repairing and planting trees to create a highlight for this gateway.
Road Management Area IV also sent a document to Bien Hoa City People's Committee agreeing to let the city renovate the land in the National Highway 1 safety corridor with an area of about 700 square meters.
Located between parallel road 2A and National Highway 1 in Long Binh Tan Ward. The solution includes repairing the sidewalk, planting grass and low-rise ornamental trees. The funding is from the locality.
Overgrown vegetation and litter are strewn about in many places in this area.
Sharing with Giao thong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of Road Management Area IV, said that the unit also agreed with the locality on the renovation of the road traffic safety corridor in the above area. Previously, the locality had approved the renovation of a section to create more highlights and beauty for the gateway area.
As for the remaining section, the unit also agrees with the renovation work. However, the issue of relocating existing works for implementation, the relevant local parties will proactively coordinate and discuss to have a suitable plan.
