According to practice, the minimum wage in the business sector is adjusted on January 1 every year. With the spirit of sharing and acting together, we will continue to encourage and promote workers to increase productivity and overcome difficulties with businesses. We hope that businesses will expand their markets to increase orders and create jobs for workers in the coming time," said Mr. Hieu.
Previously, on October 31, at the National Assembly session discussing the results of the implementation of the 2023 socio-economic development plan; the expected 2024 socio-economic development plan and many other important contents, delegate Pham Trong Nghia, full-time member of the National Assembly's Social Committee, proposed that the Government direct the National Wage Council to conduct early negotiations to increase the minimum wage for workers to ensure implementation from July 1, 2024 at the same time as implementing wage reform in the public sector.
