The Government decided to change Phenikaa University to "Phenikaa University"

According to the Decision, Phenikaa University is a private higher education institution with legal status, its own seal and account.

Phenikaa University reorganizes its organizational structure and operations on the basis of Phenikaa University in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and relevant legal provisions. The reorganization process must ensure the legitimate rights and interests of the parties involved and the normal operations of the higher education institution.

Phenikaa University, formerly Thanh Tay University, was established on October 10, 2007. Since 2017, the school has officially become a member of Phenikaa Group. In November 2018, the school officially took the name Phenikaa University. In 2019, the school began enrolling its first class, with an enrollment of just over 300 students.

After just over 6 years of restructuring with a new name, Phenikaa University has shown rapid transformation, becoming the youngest school to successfully transform into a University model.

By 2025, Phenikaa University will have a training scale of nearly 25,000 students with 64 regular university training programs, 10 international joint programs, 16 master's training programs and 11 doctoral training programs.

At the same time, Phenikaa University has established 5 training schools: Phenikaa Technical School, Phenikaa Economics School, Phenikaa Medical - Pharmaceutical School, Phenikaa Information Technology School, Phenikaa Foreign Language - Social Sciences School. It is expected that in the next few years, Phenikaa University will establish a number of more schools specializing in training in Law, Tourism - Hospitality, etc.

According to the representative of Phenikaa University, the development and transformation process from Phenikaa University to Phenikaa University takes place on a solid strategic foundation and long-term vision, in the environment of a Phenikaa ecosystem consisting of 4 pillars: Industrial production, Technology development and digital transformation, Health care, Education and training, with more than 30 member units operating domestically and internationally.

This ecosystem has created conditions for Phenikaa University to operate effectively, with the vision of becoming an innovative university following the knowledge enterprise model, developing into a multidisciplinary university, aiming for a position in the Top 100 leading universities in Asia.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Xuan Nang, Chairman of Phenikaa Group, Chairman of the School Council affirmed that the transition from Phenikaa University to Phenikaa University in the operating environment of Phenikaa Group's ecosystem not only marks a turning point in the innovation of governance and development of the education system, but also affirms the commitment to the quality of training, research and technology transfer.

Thus, the country currently has 10 universities, including: Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Thai Nguyen University, Hue University, Da Nang University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Duy Tan University, National Economics University and Phenikaa University.

Currently, the team of dedicated and experienced lecturers and international cooperation network are considered "endogenous energy sources" for the sustainable development of Phenikaa University.
The school has outstanding scientists who have been honored and won many prestigious awards such as 3 Ta Quang Buu awards, 1 VIFOTEC first prize, 1 Nguyen Van Dao mechanical talent award; 3 Golden Globe awards for young scientists; The King of Thailand's Award for outstanding scientific work in 2023; 3 lecturers in the Top 100,000 most influential scientists in the world in 2024.
In addition, Phenikaa University also made a strong impression in scientific research activities and many domestic and international rankings. The school maintained the top 1 position in the Nature Index Ranking for 4 consecutive years from 2020 to 2024; achieved 5 Stars according to the assessment of the UPM University Education Quality Comparison System in 2024.
The University also reached the Top 5 Vietnamese universities in the SCImago Ranking in 2024; Top 2 in the RePEc Ranking of research organizations in the field of economics in Vietnam in 2024; Top 5 IPSTAR Invention Stars (2016-2023 period) with more than 40 granted patents, along with nearly 2,500 international publications in ISI/SCOPUS journals in the period 2019-2024.
To truly become a knowledge university, increase non-tuition revenue, and promote scientific research, Phenikaa University pays special attention to innovation, linking scientific research with technology transfer.
Therefore, the university established Phenikaa University Holding to transfer and commercialize research results. This system currently includes 7 spin-off and start-up companies, training centers to transfer knowledge, turn inventions and research into practical application products, with remarkable achievements such as 115 inventions and useful solutions, outstanding in the fields of autonomous technology, new materials, biotechnology and health.
Among them, many inventions of Phenikaa University scientists have been transferred into industrial-scale production and business, with investment and revenue of thousands of billions of VND.
Among the startups of Phenikaa University Holding, Phenikaa-X and PHX are two typical units that not only achieved outstanding technological achievements such as level 4 autonomous electric vehicles and comprehensive digital solutions in education but also affirmed their position as product suppliers for many large factories in Vietnam, typically Smart Robots for Samsung Thai Nguyen factory.
Phenikaa University Hospital and the Health Sciences Department of Phenikaa University are forming a typical Institute - School mechanism, a strategic link in the Phenikaa Ecosystem, playing an important role in training medical human resources, scientific research and community health care according to international standards.
In December 2024, this hospital will officially come into operation, not only as a medical examination and treatment facility but also as an important practice and internship place - one of the outstanding advantages of students majoring in Health Sciences.
