The fourth Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit, taking place from April 15 to 17 in Hanoi, is the first multilateral high-level event in the field of green growth, green transformation and sustainable development hosted by Vietnam.
It is expected that about 800-1,000 delegates from more than 40 countries and international organizations, along with scholars and businesses, will gather at the event.
The conference, themed "Sustainable green transformation, people-centered", will discuss and share experiences on policies to promote public-private partnerships, attract investment, maximize resources for green transformation, and promote technology application and innovation.
As planned, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will chair a high-level discussion and dialogue between government leaders and businesses.
In addition, five ministerial-level discussions will take place in parallel. The conference is also expected to adopt the Hanoi Declaration, strongly affirming commitments to green, sustainable, and people-centered growth. Countries are determined to coordinate and act responsibly to respond to current global challenges.
The P4G Forum was formed in 2017, from a Danish initiative, to coordinate policies, promote public-private cooperation, connect governments, businesses and socio-political organizations to promote green growth, contributing to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Vietnam is one of the 8 founding member countries of P4G.
Within the framework of the forum, the summit is the most important activity, held every two years. The previous three conferences were held in Denmark (2018), South Korea (2021) and Colombia (2023).
