On August 25, according to information from Ha Giang Provincial Police, there was an incident in which a person was swept away by floodwaters and was fortunately rescued by police officers in time.

Accordingly, at around 7:00 p.m. on August 24, at the stream bank area under Phin Ho bridge, Mr. Ly Van Nghiep (born in 1993, residing in Phin Ho village, Ta Su Choong commune, Hoang Su Phi district) while using a net to fish slipped and fell into the stream, drifted along the rapid current about 15m from the shore and drowned.
At that time, Major Do Quang Tan (police officer of Ban Nhung commune, Hoang Su Phi district) was on duty and discovered the incident. He immediately jumped into the raging water to save people.
After struggling with the water, Major Do Quang Tan brought the victim to shore and performed initial first aid. Discovered and given first aid in time, the victim was out of danger. Major Do Quang Tan and the locals took the victim to the Ta Su Choong Commune Health Station for further treatment.
Representatives of the district police and functional agencies visited and presented gifts to victims Ly Van Nghiep and Major Do Quang Tan.
