Developing franchise charging stations, an opportunity to expand into new electric vehicle business areas

On September 4, V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development JSC officially became the pioneer in implementing the franchise charging station model in Vietnam, opening up a new potential business field and contributing to the country's green transformation.

V-GREEN's franchise charging station model is built on the "business and people working together" method, creating new business opportunities for premises owners nationwide.

Similar to the genuine charging stations invested by V-GREEN, the franchised charging stations will serve VinFast electric car and motorbike owners nationwide.

V-GREEN commits to accompany and share revenue with partners at a fixed rate of 750 VND/kWh of charging electricity for at least 10 years.

Accordingly, the company will support all technology for operation management, revenue and expenditure management, maintenance and marketing to attract customers to the charging station. At the same time, the enterprise commits to compensate station owners if the company stops operating before the 10-year commitment period.

Partners only need to invest in additional equipment and infrastructure to ensure charging station operation.

In addition to the revenue shared from V-GREEN, partners can also increase revenue from value-added services such as car care, shopping, and entertainment while waiting for charging. Parking lots, gas stations, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, hotels, etc. will also have the opportunity to expand their customer base when investing in V-GREEN franchise charging stations.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duong, General Director of V-GREEN Company, said that the franchise charging station model is a promising step forward that will positively contribute to the development trend of electric vehicles in Vietnam in the coming time.

It is known that V-GREEN is a global charging station development company founded by Chairman of Vingroup Corporation (HoSE: VIC), Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, with 90% ownership of shares.

Separated from VinFast's charging station development department, V-GREEN operates independently as a strategic partner, supporting VinFast in expanding its charging station network globally.

Continue to invest in developing nationwide charging stations

Currently, the company owns the largest network of electric car and motorbike charging stations in Vietnam with a planned 150,000 charging ports in all 63 provinces and cities. With a commitment to invest 10,000 billion VND in the next two years to build new, upgrade and complete the system, V-GREEN is expanding the scale of VinFast electric vehicle charging stations nationwide. This model is also expected to be deployed in international markets in the future.

V-GREEN's main goal is to invest in electric vehicle infrastructure, reduce the financial burden on VinFast, and create conditions for the car company to focus on market expansion and sustainable development.

The company also aims to mobilize green capital sources with preferential interest rates, contributing to promoting VinFast's development in the international market.
