In the early morning, the scene here is quiet, majestic and beautiful. As the sun rises higher, the clouds gradually disperse, drifting leisurely at the foot of the great Amitabha Buddha statue located in the tourist complex at the top of Fansipan.

The 13m high Buddha statue, placed on an 8m high lotus platform, is crafted from tens of thousands of copper plates and weighs about 50 tons.

More than 11 years ago, to conquer Fansipan peak, tourists still had to climb the mountain. It was an extremely arduous and challenging experience.

Nowadays, climbing to the top of Fansipan is no longer difficult because there is a cable car system, visitors can go up and down the mountain in the same day.
