At the mascot workshop in Dong Thanh commune (Hoc Mon district), many snake models are gradually being completed. Workers are rushing to complete the products in time to deliver orders.

Mr. Ngo Van Canh, the workshop owner, shared that the number of mascot orders this year is higher than last year and the technical and quality requirements are getting higher because people's aesthetic sense is getting higher compared to before.

The highlight is a pair of cobras about 5 meters high, 15 meters long each, priced at 500 million VND. After more than half a month of work, the two snakes with the main color of orange are basically completed, waiting to be delivered to a customer in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

Mr. Canh said that this year, orders ranged from more than 200 snake products with many sizes and diverse designs. In the photo are two completed snake mascots, shaped in a cute chibi style, priced at 60 million VND a pair.

In the factory, dozens of workers are divided into many stages working from morning to night to meet orders. At peak times, there are about 100 people working continuously to meet the schedule.

The workshop owner shared that the most difficult thing was how to create a mascot image that was both gentle and cute while still imbued with the Tet atmosphere.

To avoid damage during transportation, the snake parts will be crafted separately, and when shipped to the customer, the parts will be assembled together to create the finished product.

The factory owner said that more than two months before Tet At Ty, many places contacted to order mascots to decorate restaurants, hotels, tourist and entertainment areas. All workers at the factory have had to work overtime for the past month, working from 7am to 9pm before getting a break.
