Stylish gentlemen are willing to spend 30 million VND to buy a pair of Celine flared pants worth 1,200 USD; many others are satisfied just by trying them on at the shop.
Fashionistas in New York are flocking to Celine stores in hopes of getting their hands on the popular $1,200 flared pants. Some are seriously paying for them, while others are content just trying them on in the dressing room. However, sources close to the store say they are completely sold out.
This type of pants was worn by famous rapper Kendrick Lamar (37 years old) during the halftime show at the Super Bowl LIX football game on February 9 and then created a fever.

Within 48 hours of the game, Google searches for “flared jeans” spiked 5,000%. Kendrick is credited with inspiring the look. Videos of Kendrick performing in flared jeans have attracted 133 million views, and videos of him trying on the jeans have been viewed more than 766,000 times on TikTok.
“Y2K is back. Kendrick’s flared jeans and varsity jackets are the look,” David Thielebeule, Bloomingdale’s menswear director, told The Post. “These vintage-inspired looks evoke nostalgia in a fun, modern way, and we’ve seen a huge uptick in interest since Kendrick wore them.”
Flared jeans are all the rage among the upper class, both men and women. Celebrities like Meghan Markle, Bella Hadid, Sydney Sweeney and Pharrell Williams have been spotted rocking them lately. Those who dare to wear flares are leaning towards the retro style, which first became popular in the 1960s and 1970s and was revived in the early 2000s.
“I was absolutely amazed when I saw his jeans. They were the best quality, best fitting jeans on the market,” said Stewart, 37, a fashion designer and mother of one.

Newman Parker, 24, a luxury lifestyle influencer, said he went to the Celine store in Beverly Hills to try on the hit fashion item in a women's size 29, the same size pants Kendrick wore during the performance.
“They’re so flattering, you can definitely tell the difference between $1,200 jeans and cheaper ones when you try them on. I tried them on and I might have to go back to Celine to buy them,” Parker told The Post.

But for Rodrigo Calderón, 25, a musical actor in Midtown, the French fashion house Celine’s luxe pieces weren’t in his budget, so he picked up some eye-catching flared jeans for under $100 at local thrift stores.

Rodrigo has been wearing his affordable flares on the streets and at recent New York Fashion Week events. “If I were rich, I would buy them from Celine, but I’m not,” he says. “Flare jeans are timeless and iconic. I’m so happy Kendrick Lamar is bringing them back to their rightful place.”
