The seminar contributed to sharing practical experiences of military medical missions at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission for officers and staff of Level 2 Field Hospital No. 5 (BVDC 2.5) preparing to depart for international missions.

Former leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, and Military Hospital 175 participated in the discussion.

Attending and directly interacting with officers and staff of Field Hospital 2.5 were comrades: Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh (former Deputy Minister of National Defense); Major General Hoang Kim Phung (former Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department); Major General Nguyen Hong Son (former Director of Military Hospital 175); officers and staff of Field Hospital 2.1, Field Hospital 2.3...

At the seminar, the staff of Field Hospital 2.5 heard stories of difficulties and practical experiences in the field in organizing and preparing barracks during the first days when the medical force of the Vietnam People's Army arrived at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan.

Leaders of Military Hospital 175 and the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department also exchanged experiences and solutions with officers and staff of Field Hospital 2.5 to effectively carry out professional work, Party work, political work, maintain discipline, policy work... to be able to successfully complete tasks at the mission.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh sent a message to the officers and staff of Field Hospital 2.5: Participating in the United Nations peacekeeping force is the pride of our Army and our country. Many generations of officers and staff have participated in different positions and have excellently completed their tasks. Military Hospital 175 is the first unit of our Army to organize management, training and send level 2 field hospitals to the United Nations mission. Field Hospital 2.5's departure this time marks the 10-year journey of the hospital participating in international missions, a special milestone. Field Hospital 2.5 needs to promote its responsibility, pride, solidarity, overcome all difficulties, and be determined to complete its tasks well, contributing to affirming the role and image of the Vietnam People's Army in the United Nations peacekeeping mission.

On the occasion of attending the seminar, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh presented the book “The Teacher” written by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh to representatives of Field Hospital 2.1, Field Hospital 2.3 and the staff of Field Hospital 2.5. At the seminar, Field Hospital 2.5 exchanged expertise and shared experiences in handling situations that occurred in reality at the mission with the team of doctors from the field hospitals that had completed international missions. In particular, the field hospitals mentioned many unprecedented cases that required creative application of expertise and flexible handling to ensure good care and treatment of patients in all situations that may occur at the mission.

More importantly, Field Hospital 2.5 is inspired and motivated to make more efforts, determined to contribute not only to excellently completing the task but also to contributing to creating the brand of Vietnam's peacekeeping force at the United Nations missions. Currently, Field Hospital 2.5 is constantly updating practical information from the mission in South Sudan, and is consolidating and doing well all preparations to be ready to depart for international missions.”
