Mr. Huynh Ngoc Lam (born in 1988) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen (born in 1987), residing in Tan Dinh 2 Hamlet, Suoi Da Commune, Duong Minh Chau District, are a young couple who are facing one difficulty after another.

Mr. Lam is currently being treated at Le Ngoc Tung General Hospital. For the past few days, Ms. Huyen has been struggling to support her family, taking care of her husband, taking care of her two young children at home, and borrowing money everywhere to treat her husband.

When asked about his condition, Ms. Huyen said that her husband worked as a tree saw, and recently, while working, he was hit in the stomach by a chainsaw. At first, he thought he was fine, but a few minutes later, he had severe stomach pain and was taken to the Le Ngoc Tung General Hospital by his colleagues.

Upon examination, the doctor found that a section of his intestine was severely crushed and torn, requiring immediate surgery to treat the wound. He was treated by removing the injured section of intestine for treatment, and after the wound healed, surgery would be required to return the intestine to the abdominal cavity.

Ms. Huyen had to stay at the hospital to take care of her husband.

To treat her husband, she ran around borrowing money to pay for his hospital bills. After just a few days in the hospital, the surgery cost nearly 20 million VND. That was a huge amount of money for her family.

Talking about her family's situation, she said that her family was in a difficult situation. Last year, to pay off debts, she and her husband sold the house and land they were living on, then rented a house in Tan Dinh 2 Hamlet, Suoi Da Commune. Her family has 4 members including her, her husband and 2 children. Mr. Lam is the family's economic pillar but his job is also unstable, he only has income when he has a job.

On the day of the accident, her little daughter, who was in kindergarten, had a high fever and had to be taken to the hospital. The doctor advised her to stay in the hospital for observation, but she had to worry about her husband, so she asked the doctor to let her go home and ask her grandmother to help look after her child.

She herself is also sick, last year she suffered a rupture of the eighth nerve behind her ear, which resulted in her being completely deaf in her left ear. Recalling that time, she sadly shared that to treat the disease, she and her husband also spent a lot of money. Their daughter was still too young, so she stayed home to look after her and sew to earn extra income, helping her husband support the family. Now that he had an accident, she did not know how to handle it for the time being.

"In the near future, when the wound heals, Mr. Lam will have to have a second surgery to put his intestines back into his abdomen. I don't know who else to borrow money from now," Ms. Huyen sighed and shared.

Reporters went to the locality to verify the family situation of the couple. The representative of the leader of Suoi Da commune, Duong Minh Chau district said that from many sources of information, the locality has grasped the difficult situation of Ms. Huyen and Mr. Lam's family. Although the family does not have a permanent residence in the locality and only lives in a rented house, the locality will direct organizations to actively support the family during this difficult period.

Currently, Ms. Huyen has to stay at the hospital to take care of her husband. Her two children are staying with their grandmother, her brother is taking care of their little sister. Thinking of her children being left alone, she feels very sad. Ms. Huyen's family situation is currently very difficult and miserable, she really hopes to receive support and sharing from readers of Tay Ninh Newspaper and benefactors so that her family can overcome this difficult period.
