On October 29-30, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province organized a workshop to share practices of administrators and teachers in the Kingdom of Belgium and Vietnam on applying language-rich learning environments in the context of multilingual preschool education, school leadership and professional development for preschool teachers.

At the workshop, about 100 delegates who are managers of the Department of Education and Training, managers of preschools in Quang Tri province; delegates of the Department of Education and Training in Gia Lai and Ha Giang provinces heard about the positive activities of the project "Preschool teachers apply knowledge and teaching skills to create a language-rich learning environment for children" (TALK Project) in Quang Tri province in 2024.
Accordingly, TALK is a project that aims to improve the capacity of school managers and educators to bring about real change in the classroom in creating a language-rich learning environment, ensuring that preschools are well prepared for children in disadvantaged districts with many ethnic minorities living together, so that children enter primary school with the necessary language skills, thereby helping them to be ready to learn.
After a period of implementation, the project has brought meaningful results to preschool education in Quang Tri province, contributing to improving the quality of preschool education facilities in the locality, and improving the professional capacity of preschool education staff in Quang Tri province.
Through the study tour in the Kingdom of Belgium, the delegation of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province has drawn good lessons, which have been applied locally through observation, recording, learning, synthesis, and construction into a report.
From there, organize seminars, training sessions to exchange and share experiences after the study trip; expand activities in 4 districts without the TALK Project (including 4 specialists and 163 principals and vice principals) on school management and leadership...
The workshop also heard experts from the Kingdom of Belgium share experiences of managers and teachers such as: How to inspire and help teachers teach more creatively and proactively; inspire and let teachers take more responsibility for their own professional development, thereby creating a more collaborative learning environment between teachers; support teachers to apply language-rich learning environments in the classroom; how to build professional learning communities to help managers learn better together...
Within the framework of the workshop, delegates went on a field trip to Huong Hiep Kindergarten, Dakrong district and Huong Tan Kindergarten, Huong Hoa district to see the application and good practices in building a language-rich learning environment for preschool children after a period of implementing the TALK Project in Quang Tri province.
