On June 25, in Quy Nhon city, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province coordinated with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City to organize a conference to promote investment, trade and tourism development with Indian partners in Binh Dinh province.

The conference attracted the participation of about 40 Indian businesses operating in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, education and healthcare. This is a valuable opportunity for businesses to connect, exchange information and seek cooperation opportunities to promote and introduce the potential and advantages of both sides.
Speaking at the conference, Binh Dinh Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung said that Binh Dinh has identified its vision and future development orientation as a center of science and technology, innovation, and an important place for applying artificial intelligence (AI) in Vietnam; sustainable economic development based on the pillars of manufacturing and processing industry, information technology industry and AI; high-quality tourism; organic agriculture and an efficient logistics system. These areas are all strengths of India.
Secretary Ho Quoc Dung believes that this is the "key" to attracting the Indian business community, people and tourists to learn, travel, explore and seek investment opportunities in Binh Dinh, opening a new and good development period. From there, it will contribute to promoting and deepening the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in general, and the cooperative relationship between Binh Dinh province and Indian businesses and partners in particular.
Indian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Madan Mohan Sethi said that many Indian businessmen and investors are exploring the Vietnamese market to seek investment and cooperation opportunities.
India has developed strong capabilities in many sectors such as automobiles, chemicals, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, plastics, leather, textiles, electronics, information technology, healthcare and higher education. The country is also attracting large amounts of foreign direct investment (FDI) in many sectors.
With 30% of the population belonging to the middle class, half of the population being young, low labor costs and abundant human resources, India is becoming an attractive investment destination for large companies around the world.
The South Asian nation's government has implemented many reforms to attract FDI, removing complicated procedures and creating favorable conditions for investors.
Consul General Madan Mohan Sethi emphasized: "Binh Dinh has great potential to develop large and small industries in many fields, including manufacturing. The Consulate is ready to support connecting Vietnamese businesses with leading Indian corporations in the fields of smart agriculture, aquaculture, infrastructure, information technology, healthcare, education and many other fields."
For his part, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan highlighted the advantages as well as the province's determination to call for and attract investment.
Binh Dinh is determined to focus on rapid and sustainable development on the basis of promoting green transformation, digital transformation, and development space transformation, effectively implementing breakthroughs in enhancing provincial competitiveness, improving the quality of human resources, developing infrastructure; and investing in the pillars of local economic development.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan affirmed: "The province is determined to promote institutional reform, create strong changes in the investment and business environment; train, attract and use human resources effectively; focus investment resources on key infrastructure projects, especially traffic infrastructure in the North of the province, infrastructure of urban areas, industrial parks connecting with airports and seaports in the area".
The provincial chairman also shared with Indian investors that the province has established working groups to accompany businesses when investing in Binh Dinh, from the initial survey stage to the preparation of implementation plans and to accompany businesses throughout the project implementation process.
Besides, the province has also developed many policies to attract investment and policies on investment incentives, especially in industrial parks.
At the conference, delegates witnessed the signing of memorandums of understanding between the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province and the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, between the Binh Dinh Tourism Association and the Buddhist Tour Operators Association (India), the Binh Dinh Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Indian Economic Trade Organization IETO, the Binh Dinh Timber and Forest Products Association and the Orissa Small Scale Industries Association, etc.
