Early payment of pensions and social insurance benefits for May 2025 before the April 30 holiday

May pensions will be paid earlier than usual before people enter the April 30 holiday.

According to the telegram, in order to create conditions for the people and workers to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), while implementing social security policies and stimulating consumption, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to direct the Vietnam Social Security to organize the payment of pensions, social insurance benefits and unemployment insurance fully, promptly and in accordance with regulations.

In particular, the payment of pensions and social insurance benefits for May 2025 needs to be done early, from April 25-28, 2025.

Currently, pensions and social insurance benefits are usually paid from the 1st of each month or later, depending on the locality and the form of payment, in cash or by bank transfer. People who receive pensions and social insurance benefits via personal accounts (ATM) will receive them earlier than those who receive them in cash at payment points.

In 2025, the April 30 and May 1 holidays will last for 5 consecutive days, from April 30 to May 4. Civil servants and public employees will swap working days from Friday (May 2) to Saturday (April 26) to ensure a seamless holiday schedule.
